What a treasure...a keeper for sure !!!
Clean, spacious, safe, quiet and felt very much at home with its' range of amenities.
A short walk to our beutiful Outer Banks shore will certainly fill your stay.
Where else can you feel at home and get pampered by their lovely spa services.
The Gym is very professional and features flat screen TV's on the exercise equipment.
A great place to come and relax, feel at home and get spoiled by their professional staff.
What are you waiting for; go explore for yourself...it's a secret you can't hold back.
The Di Florio's thank-you for adding to our memories. Bless

With less than 2 weeks before we were hoping to be in Avon, I lucked out and found Villas at Spa Koru. They had a 2 br., 1 bath (Earth), available the 2 nights we needed. The rate was great and I wasn't worried about the Kitchen as I figured we wouldn't be using it much. We were very pleased with the entire experience. We arrived a bit early and they recommended a place for lunch while they completed prepping the villa. Less than an hour later it was ready. As we were preparing to go to the beach, I realized that we had forgotten our beach towels. They were more than happy to lend us a couple large colored towels. We slept very comfortably, son on the couch, daughter in a bed and us in the king. The hurricane shutters made the room very dark and allowed for some sleeping in if we wanted. As far as the kitchen goes, it was fine. Could they have more and nicer stuff, yes, but for the rate the supplies and appliances were very good. Also, very much appreciated the stackable washer/dryer to clean our clothes. We never got the opportunity to participate in the fitness/spa or borrow a bike but we would have if our daughter's arm wasn't broken at the time. Kudos to Korus.

We were in town for a wedding and enjoyed our two night stay at Koru. The staff was friendly. The villa we stayed in seemed to be brand new and was very clean. We were all glad that we got out of bed to participate in the complimentary yoga class.

We stayed in Stars, best described as a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom dimly lit inside garden style apartment. We have gone to Hatteras Island every years ,several times a year for 25 years. We have stayed in houses, condos, tents and B & B's. The staff and owner were ill prepared to manage requests such as dish towels, drain boards, holding onto a special delivery package since it was a special gift, ordering a taxi or accommodating a later check out, etc. No effort and no concern was demonstrated; not even by the owner. It was one thing for the tire on the complementary bike to go flat, that can easily happen-but when the pedal apparatus came off the bike, that was a concern. We called and they did come-but we were able to walk back to Spa Koru in the time it took for them to come. And when we did return with the bikes-and told them the bikes were out front-they asked three times "where are the bikes?" The kitchen was cavernous in size-but so sparsely equipped, I was happy to have my Swiss Army knife. We enjoy cooking. The limited pots and pans were old and stained. There few cooking utensils were from the Dollar Store and the salad bowl, was a plastic throw away that was cracked and cracked in half the 2nd night. The knife handles crumbled when one tried to cut into goat cheese-There was a blender, a toaster, a microwave and a coffee pot. There were no dish rags or dish towels so we used wash cloths and towels from the bathroom. We told the owner and he said he was talk care of it. Nothing ever showed up. We did run into the house keeper and she did not know were things were so we followed her into the laundry area and found the dish towels and dish rags we needed. The staff and the owner were unacquainted with assisting other than spa guests. The price was high for an inside cabin. The Spa needs to upgrade the WIFI server since connecting at higher than 1.5Mbps was rare. There was no FLAT screen TV as we were told. The back bedroom bed was very comfortable; the most comfortable bed we ever experienced in Hatteras. Value, service, experience was missing. There was no spa discount for Villa guests and you can buy a gym pass at Koru for $15. I hate to dis these folks since the economy is so down, but they truly need to add value (and kitchen equipment) if they want to keep the Villas full. It's not 4th of July every weekend when accommodations are scarce. News travels fast if you give your money and don't get anything but a bed in return. A real disappointment and the sad end of the story, the owner and staff don't really seem to care.

We greatly appreciate this guest's review. Since their stay, we have made great improvements to our Villa guest relations and Villa amenities. We strive to make our Villa guest's feel welcome and "at home" when they arrive at Koru Village, and we are continuing to improve this everyday. In response to the reviews regarding the bikes, we are making sure to maintain our Beach Cruisers in proper working condition. Regarding the kitchen, we have updated our dishes, knife sets, and pots and pans. We are continuing to maintain these upgrades and keep an eye on them as they are used on a regular basis. As for the flat screen tv's, this may have unfortunately been a mis-communication. We do not advertise flat screen tv's in our Villas, but we do have them in our fitness center, attached to the cardio machines. Gym passes, fitness and yoga classes are now included in your stay at the Villas. As mentioned, we have made great improvements to our Villa guest relations and Villa amenities that would please anyone who comes to stay with us.

We absolutely loves the Villas at Spa Koru. Tami greeted us and was so kind and gracious. The villas are clean, quiet, modern, cozy, and comfy. Beach access is directly across the street and good restaurants are within walking distance. We didn't use the gym facilities but they looked great. We enjoyed it so much we plan to book most, if not all, of the villas for my upcoming wedding. I plan to use the Spa to get my hair and makeup done and possibly use Tami's catering company for the food! All in all, great visit -- in more ways than one. :) I highly recommend Spa Koru.

My family and I have not been to Hatteras Island in 8 years and I am so glad that we chose the Spa Koru Villas. The villas are very roomy and very comfortable. I was extremely happy to see that there was a washer and dryer in the room which came in handy especially with children. There was plenty of room in the full size kitchen for two to cook at the same time. It was nice to be able to sit out in the courtyard with the other guests and unwind after a day at the beach. The Spa Koru will be one of my favorite places to stay in the future. Thanks Spa Koru for a comfortable stay.

Me and a few friends stayed at Spa Koru in early October and what a trip. Not only was the villa a great price, it was extremely clean, a great value and very comfortable. The staff was very very kind and extremely helpful. Spa Koru is your one stop joint for a place to stay, workout and get fit as well as relax and retreat in their wonderful spa.
