I'm a pretty experienced sushi eater and this wasn't the best. They certainly have a creative menu and a wide selection of cooked rolls, but the fish was not super fresh and their selection of raw fish and sashimi was limited. Fun atmosphere and pretty affordable and likely the best sushi in the near surroundings.

They offer traditional rolls AND some amazing, unique rolls! We broke out and tried the house creations and WOW....better than ANY traditional rolls we have ever had! The staff was super friendly and very accommodating and informative! It felt like we were in a neighborhood restaurant! We will be back many more times while we are here.....and in the years to come!

Everything was amazing, from sushi rolls that contained crab and bacon to tempura bussel sprouts! Nice sake selection as well.

We had a great experience overall. We actually ended up eating there three nights in row with friends and family. It is a easy location to find next to the food lion. Had a very attentive server, I believe his name was Blair. We made some unique requests due to one person who was pregnant and we appreciative that they were honored. We would definitely make the five hour trip again! Try the redneck and Ma's roll... The wings ate great and the tater bowl. We will be back

We got takeout at Haoles Sushi Bar the day before we got evacuated due to Hurricane Arthur. The food was fantastic! We took the waitresses suggestions and order several of the spicy sushi rolls (Mexican pipeline was out of this world!) I only wish we didn't have to leave the island - we definitely would have been back. It took about 15 minutes for them to prepare the rolls fresh so my husband and i sat down and had a cold Corona while we waited. Staff was extremely pleasant and fun to chat with while we waited. Wish i could find a place this good in Pennsylvania. We will definitely be back next obx vacation!
