I visited the Hall on a recent trip to Akron. I had a morning free, and saw it was the #1 attraction on trip advisor. I went on a guided tour, which was excellent. I think it lasted about 90 minutes. We did not get to see all of the house, but saw a lot of it. Our guide said the house has about 95% of its original furnishings, and it really is spectacular. I was visiting in November, so the gardens were not in good form, but I would enjoy coming back to see them if the opportunity presents itself.

Whether a show, a stroll or decorated for Christmas, there is never a bad time to see this beautiful place! The property is worth the stroll.

Three hours here at the end of a bus tour -- with a great guide in the house. Too tired to enjoy the gardens.

It’s a tribute to the elite way of life a century ago. The Seiberling family’s estate was built on nearly 3,000 acres and the home to one of the founders of Goodyear. The house tours reflect their life at various times of the year. The gardens are ever changing as well. Various festivals, vintage base ball games, car shows, summer theater, and crafts are a sampling or the outdoor attractions. Be on the lookout for the “Nooks and Cranies” tours that take you behind the scenes of how the house was designed. You are literally taken behind the walls and above the ceilings to see the modern engineering that supports a Tudor appearance.

If you have never visited this magnificent house owned by the Seiberling family, go to see it in winter decorated by over 800,000 lights. I plan to go again this year (2028) because it was so wonderful. Enjoy some hot chocolate after seeing the inside of the house all decorated for the holidays. There is a large area of dancing lights with holiday music, fun for children, a lovely gift shop, cookies and so much more!!! Opening dates to see the lights are the last two weekends of November and weekends in December both before and after Christmas (closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). Great for everyone in your family or just a group of friends celebrating the season.

I am a member every year there. What a fabulous place to see. The home is just outstanding in every way. The workmanship in it is still better than today. You feel ;like you were one of the guests invited by the Siberlings!! A journey back in time !! The Grounds are just beautiful. All the seasons have a different look and Christmas there you just have to see the lights. I love the spring and early summer for the flowers but the fall trees are a sight to see. All the different gardens are sooo unique!! It is very tranquil there.

This is a wonderful place to visit, time & time again. It has seasonal advantages, and rotating venues. The guides are very pleasant and accomodating. Nice to take out of town visitors.

This home is an amazing journey back into old Akron. The history of this home and the grounds are beautiful. They have several different events throughout the year, and seasonal visits that are fun. The lights at Christmas and Ohio Mart are favorites! But the summer play series if worth a look as well!

The Stan Hewett gardens are well worth the drive to see. They are groomed beautifully. Christmas is very special. The tour of the beautiful mansion is really nice. The wood work is beautiful.

If you haven’t been here in a while, I strongly recommend another visit. Tour the mansion. Over the years, they have poured a lot of money and work into this place. The grounds are breathtaking and they host many worthwhile events. Plan to do a lot of walking, it’s worth it!
