We were on a roadtrip to the East coast, so we only had one night to stay at Willow Brooke, but one night was enough to ensure we hope to go back one day! In fact, we would definitely make it a destination stay! It is set back in the woods and is so peaceful and lovely, especially with the trees all decked out in brilliant fall hues! We were greeted with ghosts and ghouls hanging from the trees along the drive, so we were enchanted before we ever even saw the house where ghosts were dancing in a circle on the lawn! (It was after all, October!) Sandra greeted us warmly at the door, showed us where we would have our breakfast, and then took us up to the Yellow Room. We had our own private bath and a balcony where we could look out over the forest. The furniture and decor just added to the feeling of comfort and retreat from the bustle of the world - we had our best night sleep in a long time there! Our hosts thought of everything that would pamper any visitor and make them feel so welcome. And breakfast was amazing! We had French toast stuffed with strawberry cream cheese, bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, and a yummy berry fruit cup. Plus, the peacocks were on parade outside on the back deck! What an amazing place! Thank you so much for a rejuvenation of soul and spirit that we found with you!

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of spending two nights at WillowBrooke B&B. Below are the Pros, Cons, and Tips for anyone considering staying at this lovely property:

~Secluded. Looking for a place to 'get away from it all'? Look no further than WillowBrooke. It is located deep in the woods, which is not only beautiful, but peaceful. You will feel as if you are a million miles away!
~Clean. It is evident that the owners take great pride in their home as this was the cleanest B&B I have stayed in to date. Sandra informed us that the two-person jacuzzi tub is cleaned with Clorax between each visit (they pour Clorax into the water and run the jacuzzi for 30 minutes to ensure it is clean). They also steam everything between visits. The staff they hire to assist with the cleaning are to be commended. They do a fantastic job!
~Comfortable. We stayed in the Master Suite, which was just wonderful. The furniture, including the bed, was very comfortable. There was a pleasant scent to the room and the towels (lavender/vanilla maybe). It just added to the comfortable feel of the room. In addition, the Master Suite has its own temperature control, so we were able to keep the room at the temperature we preferred. With the ceiling fan and the seclusion of the woods, it was an ideal place to take a nap!
~Amenities. The owners think of EVERYTHING. Our room had a small refrigerator and microwave, along with plates, silverware, mugs, and glasses. In addition, we were provided with popcorn, coffee, tea, cocoa, and water. Also, we had plenty of shampoo, conditioner, body gel, body salts for the two-person jacuzzi, towels, and two very nice robes.
~Breakfast. The food was fantastic. Both owners (Sandra and Richard) cook, and they both did a fantastic job. The first day, we had eggs, sausage, cinnamon apples, and zucchini bread. The second day, we had eggs, bacon, cinnamon toast (with a cream cheese filling), strawberries and cream. Both breakfasts were outstanding! They also provide toast, preserves, and cereal for anyone wanting something lighter, as well as cocoa, coffee, and tea.
~Customer Service. OUTSTANDING! We arrived after work Thursday night, so we were unable to get there between the 4-6p time frame. That was ok. Both Sandra and Richard were there to greet us when we arrived around 730p. Sandra showed us where the dining room was, and then showed us to our room. She took the time to point out everything we would need (such as the various lights/light switches, where the robes were located, things like this). At breakfast, we asked if we could see the Garden Suite, and Sandra was more than happy to give us the tour (it was not occupied at that time). It is also a beautiful room. We are considering staying in that room when we return. When we left to do some sightseeing on Friday, we came back and our bed was made, our towels were restocked, as were the popcorn and cocoa. They also took the time to empty all of our trash cans.
~Entertainment. The Master Suite does have satellite tv, which includes several HBO, Starz, and Encore channels, so there is plenty to choose from should you wish to relax in the room and watch some movies. Also, the owners provide a good size collection of DVDs and VHS movies.

Cons:
~The only con is that this place is so relaxing, you will not want to leave!!

Tips:
~Bring snacks with you (water, soda, and things to eat). There is plenty of room in both the Master Suite and Garden Suite to store your supplies (as well as a frige and microwave), and this will also avoid you having to leave the B&B so often for meals.
~If you haven't already, you should go see the Longerberger Basket Building. It is a very unique site!
~Take some time to sightsee in Granville. It is a beautiful little town with a New England feel.
~Visit Buxton Inn for lunch or dinner. We had a late lunch at Buxton, and it was absolutely delicious.
~If you wish to relax in the room, grab cold subs from Subway (located in Granville). We did this for Friday night, and it worked out great. We were able to go back to the room after lunch at Buxton and truly relax in the room the rest of the day/night!

WillowBrooke is truly a relaxing and romantic escape. Sandra and Richard have put a lot of time into their home to make it feel like home to everyone who stays there. They have succeeded! I would highly recommend this B&B to any couple looking for a place to really recharge and spend quality time together. You will not want to leave!

Room Tip: Request the Master Suite or Garden Suite (for couples). The Guest Cottages would be appropriate for...

Willowbrooke is a place you never forget! My husband and I have stayed at Willowbrooke on our honeymoon.......and two of our anniversaries.....(Soon to be three)! This wonderful treasure is an excellent place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! The seclusion you feel here is absolutely relaxing and the scenary is wonderful The last time we were there, we stayed in the garden suite....what a joy! We brought steaks and grilled them on the back patio....and enjoyed the country scenary complete with peacocks walking the property for our viewing pleasure. We will continue to come back again and again.....and you will too! We plan to be there again in April 2012.

Room Tip: The Master Suite and the Garden are so wonderful, you'll enjoy either! We also stayed in the gue...

My wife and I stayed in the guest cottage for one night and it greatly exceeded our expectations. The decor was a bit dated but it was extremely clean and comfortable. Equipped with toiletries and plenty of extra stuff, we found ourselves impressed on multiple occasions. The views from the master bedroom are wonderful and the peace and privacy of the property were very understated. The breakfast was among the best I've had and the hostess could not have been nicer and more accommodating. We will definitely be returning.

We just returned from a wonderful 4th anniversary trip to WillowBrooke and we will surely be back next time we are in the Columbus area. I can't say enough great things about this bed and breakfast. It is very secluded from the road, and an absolutely beautiful building.

We stayed in the upstairs master suite which was HUGE! The room was extremely clean and adorably decorated. There was a 2 person jacuzzi tub in a seperate bathroom, complete with candles and even a TV with tape player in there to watch some movies while relaxing in the tub! I loved the spacious vanity area to get ready in the morning. The room also came with a microwave, refrigerator, full dining room table, and a variety of coffees, teas, hot chocolates and popcorn to make right in our room. There is also a massive collection of DVDs and VHS tapes to choose from if you feel like relaxing in the room or tub! The bed was SO COMFORTABLE with the pillow top mattress.

The owner was extremely friendly and make a fantastic breakfast each morning (strawberry french toast, eggs, and bacon one morning, and the next we had cinnamon apples, zucchini bread, and an egg omelet souffle!) She is a great cook.

There really is nothing negative I could say about this place, and we will have to return soon for another trip!

Room Tip: We enjoyed the master suite

Love the seclusion of this Bed and Breakfast, as well as the wild life (Peacocks and Deer) around the grounds. Close to Granville by car, yet nice and peacefull. The owner is a good converstionalist at breakfast as well. We would love to come back for another stay!
