“Interesting place...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2014

My wife had visited and told me that I had to visit when we drove by. I did, and I'm glad.

The Cheesebarn has two levels. There is plenty to see.

It has a wide selection of items, not just cheese. There is a huge variety of cheeses. And, yes, there are samples. There are also various dips (with samples), meat sticks, jams, jellies, and many other items. I got the black raspberry jam, which I had before.

Across the parking lot, there is a candy store with many chocolate items that are made in the store. It, too, is well worth a visit.

“Cute and hokey”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014 via mobile

Grandpas Cheese barn is a cute place to stop. There is a sweet shoppe and plenty of cheese to choose from to sample. Although I have to mention that none of their products are natural. They are processed and a good bit of the candy is repackaged candy (jelly bellies in their paper). It is a fun place to take a break though and the fudge was really good. As far as quality products though, this is not the place but very entertaining. Also the giant Fin, Feathers, and Fur is next door (camping store). So if you are looking to stretch your legs, it's a good place to wander around before getting back on the road.

“Grandpa says, eat more cheese!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

I don't think they make any cheese there. It looks as though they repackage cheese from other companies but they are noted as such. The top floor is mostly cheese and the bottom floor has more variety of dips and jellies, etc. The bottom floor also has a small restaurant / ice cream shop. The chocolate shop is in another building right next door. There are free samples of most everything they offer. It's the perfect road trip stop. Stretch your legs walking around, snack on samples & get more snacks for the rest of the trip.

“So many cheeses!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2014

Two floors of cheeses, sauces, jellies, popcorn, seasonings and next door, chocolate! Many varieties of cheese and numerous flavorings added. Garlic, pepperoni, salsa, horseradish, etc. and most all had free samples. Very friendly and helpful staff. Maybe a little pricey, but some are so unique and so tasty they are worth it.
