My husband and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and wanted to rent a lakefront house. The vacation home we wanted to rent had to be pet-friendly as our two dogs travel with us as part of the family. This is a great pet-friendly house! And considering it is pet-friendly it is quite clean. It is also smoke-free inside living! Yeah to both!
The property manager met us at the house to explain the amenities and to give us a complimentary wine and cheese tray. She was very friendly and helpful. The house sits right on Lake Erie so the lake view is majestic! We experienced a variety of weather conditions, from warm sunshine to hurricane-like winds and rain with an awesome light show within the clouds. That was so cool!
The front yard is partially fenced so it was great for our dogs enjoyment. The house has most amenities of my home, plus it has a relaxing hot tub on the back deck overlooking the lake. The house was spacious and comfortable. My only issue was that it has no air conditioning so when we go back it will be either Spring or Autumn. The floor fans they provided helped some, plus three rooms had ceiling fans. The house is in a quaint and quiet community, and an easy drive to many places.
I expect to visit Dianne's house again someday as long as it stays pet-friendly and smoke free. Thank you Dianne and Cheryl!
The pictures on the website didn't do justice. This place was way better than expected. I had 2 teenage boys who absolutely loved it too.
Great decks with grill to fully enjoy the setting. House has a comfortable layout and fully stocked. Just bring your groceries and you are set. Wine, cheese and crackers on counter upon arrival. Fantastic lightening show over lake on our second night. Check with owner if path to lake is accessible since some repair of slope is going on next door and it might be difficult for some to negotiate the final part of the path.
My friends and I had the best time staying at Diane's Lake House. The house is very spacious and has everything that you need (except air conditioning). The deck alone is worth booking. The views are spectacular. The location is in a quiet small neighborhood. The house was about a 15/20 minute drive from Ferrante's and other various wineries.
I booked this house with a friend as a short get away. We wanted to go somewhere we could take our two large breed dogs. The owner had no problems with this as long as they were well behaved. This house even has a small fenced in area we could let our dogs outside without being leashed. Also, the house did not smell or have any traces of pets frequently staying here. Everything was very clean and in good working condition. The kitchen was set up with everything essential to prepare and cook meals. The neighborhood was quiet and nice for bike riding. The lake access is essentially in the backyard. The housekeeper was extremely nice and accommodating giving us her cell phone number if we needed anything, recommending local food, and even mailed some jewelry to our house we had forgotten. The only minor issue we had with the house was that some of the windows didn't have blinds/curtains and left us feeling a bit uneasy at night, however, the neighborhood is really nice and safe. This house was perfect for what we were looking for and we have already recommended it to friends.

My husband and I found this to be a perfect get-a-way cottage! Beautiful lake views from the deck, kitchen, living room and sun room. Nothing better than enjoying the hot tub, overlooking the lake and a stunning sunset. The wood burning fireplace was also a great bonus for this quaint lakefront cottage. The cottage is very clean and Cheryl (the property manager) did a great job taking care of questions that we may have had. We hope to stay again!
There are many wineries nearby to enjoy - be sure to check which days they are open, many are closed on Mondays. We still found several to explore and sample : - )

We had a great time at this place. The house was very comfortable and equipped well. Cheryl the housekeeper was friendly and gave us some good tips on local wineries etc. One thing I don't remember being mentioned is that there is a nice path down to the lake to swim and look for beach glass.
