My husband and I needed a mini vacation without our (lovely) kids and this place was perfect. The room was very clean. The breakfasts were homemade, delicious, and brought to your room so you can eat while still in your robe. Although we did not have a view of the water from our room (the dunes are between you and the water) the beach was our front yard. We sat in the chairs on the beach with a glass of wine and watched the sun go down. It is located on a very quiet beach so there is a lot of privacy. The host was very nice and happy to accommodate any of our needs (fire on the beach to roast hot dogs, stronger coffee in the morning). I also appreciated the mini-fridge and microwave in the room so we could bring home leftovers from dinner to eat the next day at lunch.
We biked the 3 miles to Cannon Beach along 101 (easy for the average bicyclist, but I would not recommend for a novice). We also did a few hikes in the state parks just a few miles north and south of Arch Cape. And of course a lot of walks on the beach.
I would recommend this inn as a place to stay for couples looking for a quiet, relaxing retreat.
