Attraction details
Owner description: You don't need to head to England to experience the genius of a Shakespearean play. Much closer to home is the Oregon Shakespeare Festival located in Ashland, Oregon. Every year at the end of October you can enjoy on average over ten of Shakespeare's plays performed in both classic and newly imagined style. Separate tickets are needed for each show which is held at one of the event campus's two indoor or one outdoor spaces.

“Great theater”
Reviewed 2 June 2013

We saw two productions at Angus Bowmer Theater and were very impressed with the quality of the productions. My Fair Lady and Taming of the Shrew (a contemporary rendition) were great! The seats were perfect . We want to make this an annual tradition!

“creative, innovative productions”
Reviewed 31 May 2013

We attended four plays in five days and were impressed by the professionalism of the performers and the creativity of the directors. Also the enthusiasm of the full houses, from teens to octogenarians. Perhaps the best we can say is that, unlike some theaters, you can say after each performance that you actually saw the play as the playwright intended, no matter how much the directors invent in dress, staging, or adaptation.

“Amazing place!!”
Reviewed 30 May 2013

A truly beautiful city. Please read the other reviews here. They are much more comprehensive. I love this city. Am a big fan of theater, and its all about the play. Get yourself a bed and breakfast within walking distance of the theater. Get there early and see the free Green show. Visit Lithia park. Have a meal along the stream, and walk the downtown fair on Sunday.
