We are not Ashland locals but if we were this establishment would be one of our favorite haunts. This is not a large restaurant, at least you do not get that impression when first seated. Our first encounter was on a rainy and cold night outside. That now offset by a table by a fireplace and presto: your reward is a warm and cozy atmosphere made more so by the low key, low volume conversations carried on at the tables around us. We felt we were amongst friends even though we didn't know a soul in this town. Atmosphere can conquer almost anything but poor food. Here it had no need to do so. The food was well prepared, the service excellent. As the title of this short essay says: “My wife was happy; what more need I say?”
