We ate hear for lunch and enjoyed delicious salad rolls and pad thai. The portions were generous and the food was tasty. We would definitely eat here again!

A little overpriced. But good tasting food. My mouth is watering thinking about Thai food. The staff is surreal. Like from another culture. (Oh yeah they are). Cool birds outside in the parking lot. Why are they there?

We brought the family here based on some of the better reviews. Moving here from the midwest, we were hoping for a wider variety of asian options. House of Thai was a complete disappointment. The food was very bland for Thai, the server was rude and acted like she just wanted us to go even though there were only 2 other tables seated. We would not choose to return here, especially with better options in Ashland like Anya's Thai (see our other review)

House of Thai is about 2 miles away from downtown Ashland-near the college. I prefer over a 'Thai like' restaurant that gets lots of accolades, but really isn't Thai food--similar to 'Tex Mex' isn't true Mexican.
Lunch is a much better choice-smaller portions--can have a cup of soup versus a huge tureen (hard if only a couple dining). We also had a dinner there and hard to get variety when you want to share a dinner ( when staying in a motel, leftovers are not handy) I think the food is very good. Clearly not a big city, super pricey Thai restaurant, but a good choice if you are a light eater and want some variety.

It's been a while since we ate there when it was just OK. But we wanted a quick Thai dinner without going to the crowded Plaza so we gave it another try. Wanted to get an appetizer and two dishes. But when we saw the very high prices for the appetizers (which looked like nothing special) we passed. The two dishes we ordered were mediocre at best. Kind of "brown" in color, nothing "popped" and just passable (at best). Asked the server which of the 3 "specials" was best and she was unenthusiastic about them all complaining that on one, the duck was tough (that was encouraging!). Still spent $30.00 (including tip) for two mediocre dishes. Lots of $12 to $14 dishes. Way too much. Those are downtown (Plaza) entree prices and those restaurants are much better (Thai Pepper, Sesame, Toroko). Will not be going back.
