The room was small but clean and cozy. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast is what seems to have become standard fare at a lot of hotels: buscuits and gravy, toast, danishes, etc (bleh!). However, there is a great little coffee shop next to the dining area where we were able to get our lattes and other goodies.
We were in town for the 4th of July parade, and this location is ideal. Could even watch from the room if you wanted to stay cool and out of the crowds (of course the kids want to be at the curb to get the candy and popsicles!).
There is an indoor pool that the kids enjoyed. The kids also enjoyed the daily cookies on the check in counter.
