I enjoyed the french onion soup, a pork rib chop and the carrot cake with pea ice cream. My wife had the Emerald greens and the crab cakes with chocolate tart for dessert. This is a first class place with nice atmosphere and excellent service. The chef creates a variety of subtle flavors. My pork chop was outstanding. My wife truly enjoyed the crab cakes. The desserts were over the moon.

The chef uses many reductions to enhance meats, side dishes and even desserts. Diners are well attended and never imposed upon by staff. Many different venues exist within this relatively small restaurant including private rooms, patio and garden dining. A real treat in Ashland.

Celebrated my wife's birthday at the Peerless Restaurant after hearing good things about it. It did not disappoint! The mixed drinks were delicious. Our dinner consisted of the french onion soup and ahi poke for appetizers. Both were terrific....particularly the french onion soup which was one of the best we've had. We shared the flank steak and aioli fries and finished with camomile ice cream cake. Each dish was prepared perfectly. The flavors were nuanced and complex. The cake was amazing. This is the best restaurant experience we've had in Southern Oregon so far.

We are a group of six people who go to Ashland every year for a week. Last year we dined at this restaurant and liked it very much. This year was a totally different experience. Four of the six people ordered the skirt steak. Three of the four said the steak was cold. One said she could not even cut the carrots since they were so undercooked. We asked for bread and were charged $4 for 6 small slices of a sourdough baguette. The waitress did allude to a charge as she said "do you want to order a full or a half order?" Frankly, to be charged for bread at an expensive restaurant like this is a bit insulting. Overall...... bad experience.

It is difficult for me to read (thankfully rare) negative reviews, especially when we offer to do everything within our power, at the time, to have our guests leave happy. Your server offered to warm the medium rare steaks, which you refused. I am sorry if we were not more clear that the carrots were not cooked. As stated on the menu they are "pickled", not cooked. I also offered to make an adjustment to your bill, which you refused, leaving no options, but for you to leave unhappy. We do everything within our power to offer guest a wonderful dining experience, but, we do rely on guests to allow us to do so.

We go to this restaurant a few times a year and are never disappointed in the food or service. In summer the outdoor patio is the lace to enjoy your meal.
