“Bangers and Mash!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 October 2013 via mobile

We came here with our friends while attending the Shakespeare Festival. The service exceeded our expectations. The ambiance was fun and lively; however, my favorite part of the evening was eating their bangers and mash. What a great place to look forward to return to on our next trip.

“Love First Fridays”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 October 2013

We love going here on "First Fridays" - the first Friday evening of every month after visiting a few art galleries. They always put on a nice curtain acrobatics show. Gotta get there before nine to get a seat and sometimes they are at room capacity and the fire laws don't allow them to let more people in. The downside is the food -- we always struggle to find something on the menu to order -- not really our taste maybe. Doesn't help that the portions are small and the drinks are kinda watered down.

“Pub above Ashland's Main Square”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 October 2013

While the interior brings you back to a different era in a good colorful way, the food was just alright. But if you love pub style eating, lots of beers on draft, and TV monitors in a bar/restaurant, you'll enjoy this place. Settled for the cheeseboard for dining. Windows provide views to the main square downtown, just steps away from Lithia Park.

“It was a british-style pub”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 October 2013

Nothing special really, and I thought it smelled really bad. Had some cider, and then we left. It was pretty average.

“Went for the Celtic Jam and Amazing Beer Selection”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 September 2013

We went here to hear the Celtic jam at the Black Sheep while visiting Ashland. While that was lots of fun, we also had the English cheeseboard which was very good. There are lots of excellent beers on draft as well as an amazing assortment of ales, stouts, lagers and ciders in the bottle. Check out their extensive menus online. There was also a good selection of Southern Oregon wines. I'd highly recommend this as a great place even for families, of which there were quite a few in attendance at the jam.
