“Great Scenery”

The Park was amazing. 93 Acres. I didn't get a chance to see everything but there was so very much to do there. On our next trip there we will tour more.

“Cool, shady retreat”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

This park is right in downtown Ashland, and well visited by residents and tourists alike. It's pretty crowded in the parts nearest downtown, but the further you amble up the path alongside Ashland Creek, the quieter and less populated it becomes. There are benches alongside the creek that invite you to sit and gaze, listen to the music of the water, or enjoy your book.

A tot play yard, an open bandstand, a Japanese garden, duck pond, swimming hole (no lifeguard) - it's all here at Lithia Park.

TIPS: There are parking lots that run alongside the park accessed from Glenview Drive, that allow you to park about midway up the canyon, if you want to avoid the crowds at the bottom. And you can go to the City's website and print out a trail guide before you go. http://issuu.com/ashlandparksandrecreation/docs/lithiaparkguide_digital (or download to your Android).

Enjoy!

“Beautiful park, well manicured, not dog friendly”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

We purchased picnic fare at Greenleaf restaurant and walked over to the big lawn area at Lithia Park for a picnic. My husband, myself, my two daughters and our to well behaved dogs set out a blanket and proceeded to have a nice picnic on a gorgeous day.

As we were finishing up, the security guard came over and said the dogs weren't allowed at Lithia Park. We weren't aware of this and felt bad that we broke the rules. The security guard was very nice.

Unfortunately we weren't ale to enjoy the gorgeous paths and the the beautiful stream throughout. We would definitely return (without the dogs) to enjoy this park.

“Enchanting”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Even in the heat of the day, Lithia Park is a wonderful respite. Several park benches in shade-enshrouded nooks make a great place to escape and take a little nap, people watch or read a book. I watched young teens playing Frisbee, young families chasing balloons, couples holding hands and eating ice cream and then listened to the most divine cellist serenading passersby. Lovely.
