“Beware of the Bear”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2014

This very beautiful and well-kept park does not welcome dogs. In fact, you can't bring your pet or ride your bike. Current (August 2014) signs warn of black bear sightings in the park. Ashland is a sterile village, and they mean to keep it so. Glad we didn't bring the dogs!

“A Great Walk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2014

An outstanding park. Designed by the designer of Golden Gate Park in SF. A beautiful stream and a trail that follows it. Lots of photo ops

“Great way to get into nature”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2014

We spent park of the day exploring te park - trails along the river, around the play ground, over the river - you name it,
we went there. A very pleasant way to get away from the crods of the Festival and find a cool spot in the heat of the day.

“Give it a stroll”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2014

Historic and easily accessible, a stroll through Lithia Park is a must when visiting Ashland. Scout for the Pygmy owl nest in a snag on the edge of the playground and don't miss the Wood Ducks. On any given day you're likely to encounter musicians and actors performing on the green or demonstrating their fencing or jousting skills.

“Charming Park”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2014

A great place to relax and take a good walk. Each morning we walked the paved trail, which turned to wood clippings, some stairs, then a narrow trail, up to the swimming hole behind the water tower. We walked the road to the west to return to Ashland. The walk took approximately an hour. We saw deer, heard the creek gurgling, and enjoyed the shade of the trees. But, be careful of poison oak, which is along side the trail. The many signs should not be ignored.
