Great place to stay - everything was new, clean, comfortable and a location walking distance to all Ashland activities, shops, and their magnificent municipal park. The provided breakfast was the usual chain fare plus quiches, breakfast burritos, sausages and more. Friendly staff and very well organized.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the brand new wing. It is away from the road and very quiet.

Great theme hotel with much attention to detail regard The Bard, e.g. invoice printed on Shakespeare portrait paper, Elizabethan decor. Walking distance from all major place and restaurants. Friendly and very efficient service. A great breakfast with quesadillas, guacamole, muffins, egg wraps etc. all freshly made. Heated pool for cooling off after the trip. Spacious rooms and free internet access.

I joined five friends on a trip to Yosemite. We drove from Seattle so needed a place about half way to spend one night. Some had never been to the Ashland Shakespeare Festival so we included an evening at the theatre as well. The Bard's Inn was one I picked off the internet because it was walking distance to the theatre and to downtown Ashland, where we had reservations for dinner.
The Inn was easy to find, very attractive and comfortable. The continental breakfast in the morning was delicious and featured more choices than most of us expected. The staff members were most helpful in making contact with a friend who was to meet us there when we were delayed on our trip to Ashland. Great place to end a long drive!

This facility is located in the heart of old downtown Ashland. We stayed across the street from the main lobby which made it easy to walk to all the neat shops in Old Townl. Clean & Roomy. Great view from the balcony. Price okay. Cumbersome to go across a busy street for the free breakfast, so ate at a nearby cafe within walking distance.

We were not attending the Shakespeare Festival, but just passing through on a long road trip with two kids ages 5 and 3. We had a lovely room with beautiful linens and lots of towels. The pool was wonderful for the kids. The staff was accommodating and welcoming.
The hotel is within walking distance of a strip of good, kid-friendly (non-chain) restaurants backing on the river.
