“Better than home!”

What better way to recover from storm-tossed travel than to a glass of wine before dinner in this beautifully appointed Victorian house reminiscent of my grandparents' turn-of-the-century house. At every turn, I noticed Vicki's attention to detail that turns an overnight stay into a restful recovery before taking off for the next part of my journey south. Over 25 years of visiting Ashland, I've stayed in many locations -- this is my favorite!

Room Tip: Ask Vicki! She gave me a choice of the rooms available... The blue room has 2 barcalounger-type chai...

We thoroughly enjoy ourselves while we are at Iris Inn. Vicki, Greg, Jasmine, Kate, Tonna are very welcoming and gracious without being overbearing. Their motto - "Concierge Service with a B&B touch" succinctly captures the Inn's philosophy. They make reservations for you and have great tips on things to do and see in the area. The breakfasts are yummy and it's hard not to gain weight when we're here.
If you are in Ashland for OSF, the Inn is also ideally located where you can walk to the Festival. Usually, once we arrive at the Inn our car stays parked until we leave because we enjoy walking to town, the Festival.
We'd highly recommend staying here!

What a lovely surprise to discover this quaint, well appointed Victorian home within walking distance of the theatre district of Ashland. Vicki is the perfect hostess, helping guests select restaurants and making reservations for them. She provides concierge service in a family home environment. She has operated this place 31 years and knows the town's restaurants and sites. Each room is carefully decorated in the style of the 1850's when the Victorian home was the model for good living. Her breakfasts are delicious and her staff very friendly. The home is located on a quiet street. It is a great place to rest after a day of touring--either in the parlor on the main floor, on the front porch in a rocking chair or porch swing or in the back yard surrounded by lovely plantings. The guests are frequent visitors, whom she knows by name.

We've been coming to the Iris Inn for 20 years, and have come to think of it as our home in Ashland. Innkeepers Vicki and Greg are wonderful hosts. They go out of their way to make our stay carefree and memorable. The rooms are beautifully decorated and exemplify the character of the classic home. The beds are comfortable and come with a cuddly stuffed animal to welcome you. The private baths are well maintained and have quality soap, shampoo and other amenities.

Breakfast is served in a sunny dining room. The food is filling and delicious, but the best part is that Vicki has a knack of being able to create menus that are flavorful and healthy. Many guests ask for a second helping. She easily accomodate special diets, as well, with advance notice.

The inn is a short walk from town, making it a bit quieter than some. We enjoy the stroll home after an evening at the Shakespeare Festival. It give us a chance to
stretch our legs befor bed.

Wine is available in the evening and port and chocolate before bedtime. The turndown service makes for a complete experience. I hope that we'll be able to continue coming here for another 20 years.

While my teenage daughter and I attended plays at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, I booked three nights for us at this comfortable bed and breakfast in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the theaters. We started our day with a delicious breakfast (tailored to our food likes and needs). The staff were always friendly and knowledgeable about the area's many offerings, including restaurants and events.

Vicki always makes us feel so welcome. The rooms are lovely, the grounds are beautiful and quiet, and the breakfasts are perfect. Vicki has accommodated my allergies and helped us locate exactly the right dinner reservations.

I'm a computer girl geek who appreciates the finer things in life - that's why I love the Iris Inn:
1. The Wi-Fi is fast
2. There are plenty of hangers + nice robes
3. The breakfasts are fab - ask for the shirred eggs! Or let Vicki know if you're vegan...
4. Vicki and Greg and Jasmine are excellent hosts

Room Tip: 1. the Parlor Room is the largest - it also has a day bed - and a huge closet - and a nice bathroom...

We are happy that the guests at the inn like all the amenities that we provide for their comfort while they are vacationing in Ashland. So many of our guests request allergy free diet ingredients and avoid other ingredients usually found in breakfast menus. With so many alternatives available in Ashland, it is easy to make menu adjustments. The smile on their faces when they hear "no problem" is the best!
