The historic McCall house is charming and well-maintained. Beds were comfortable and the innkeeper and her assistant were professional and courteous. The breakfast was also delicious.

it was immaculate, elegant, and in a great location, a block or two from of the Shakespeare Festival and access to Lithia Park trails, and the shops in the center of town. The breakfasts were gourmet. Nola, our hostess was very nice, sensitive to everyone's needs and seemed to genuinely like her guests. She added special touches like a decanter of Sherry in each room, iced tea and delicious homemade cookies all day in the dining room of this tastefully furnished and bright Victorian. There was a refrigerater and microwave just for guests, stocked well with water and plenty of ice. Parking was in the rear parking lot of the home was no problem at all. The mattresses were great. We felt pampered.

We stayed at the McCall House for three nights in the Anna Anderson guestroom. We really liked the room with windows on two sides, light filled in the morning, and the view into the trees of the backyard. We used the outside sitting area between the two houses a couple of times during the day, and the two big rooms in the evenings. The breakfast was great every morning and we enjoyed sharing the breakfast table with other travelers who gave us their view of the town, the plays of the Shakespeare festival, and opportunities, what to do in the southern Oregon area.

This year is our fourth year staying at McCall House while visiting Ashland for the OSF. Nola and the staff make sure your visit is exactly like having a home of your own while staying here. The breakfasts are superb, the hospitality unmatched and the rooms (we've stayed in three, but now only the Sleeping Porch) comfortable and inviting. Add to that the great location (a short block and a half to the theaters) and relatively quiet neighborhood and you have an absolute winner. My wife and I are early risers and always take a vigorous walk first thing. The neighborhood is lovely for walking and we can always end our walk downtown for a coffee stop before returning "home".

The McCall House has it all - beauty, ambiance, graciousness, comfort, splendid breakfasts, convenience to theatres, shops and restaurants.

During the 5 nights I was there I slept better than I do at home!

Nola and her staff manage a perfect balance of running an elegant yet informal inn and making you feel like a valued guest and a member of the family at the same time. They try to sty on top of local news: what plays people have enjoyed the most, how the restaurants stack up, etc.

There are coffee-makers and small refrigerators on each floor for the use of the guests which is whv I marked "not sure" for "kitchenettes" below.

It's an authentic Victorian house that has been extensively upgraded to include a private bath for each guest room (only one is not en suite). The public rooms are comfortable and provide ample space for reading, chatting, etc.

We have recommended the McCall House to lots of friends over the years and everyone who has tried it loves it.

This was our second stay at McCall House and will not be our last. We arrived early but were provided instant access to our room. The setting is great, rooms comfortable and well decorated and the location could not be better. It is 5 min walk to the Shakespeare theatres (the reason to be in Ashland), close to shopping and a very short walk to many of the great restaurants in town. Breakfasts here are enought to last until dinner!

Very pretty B&B with gracious staff. We were "upgraded" twice and shown to the original master bedroom, with 4-poster bed, electric fireplace (which was the heater and had a remote-control thermostat!), and very lovely large bathroom. Nola, the owner, was extremely accommodating especially given that we arrived early and needed to depart early -- we were served an early breakfast of excellent oatmeal, fruit, fresh juice.... which we really appreciated. The location is fabulous; a block from the main shopping street and theaters, but on a quiet side street. The house has minimal soundproofing which may be why someone commented "not for romance," but if you are quiet...
