My mother and I stayed in the "Sleeping Porch" room for a long weekend, to see a show and visit family in Ashland. It was roomy and light, with comfortable chairs, two small tables, a little kitchenette area. My mom slept in the king bed, and I slept on the day bed. We were both very comfortable. There is a gas fireplace in the room, which we used in the mornings to supplement the heat. I'm allergic to down, and Nola kindly prepared my bed to be down-free. There are a few stairs within the room, so my mom had to be careful in the middle of the night on the way to the bathroom. But there is a good rail, so it wasn't a problem. We liked having a shower/bath room separate from the toilet/sink room, so we could get ready more efficiently in the mornings.
Breakfasts were amazing! Nola was so pleasant. Sometimes innkeepers become tired of their work and it shows, but she went out of her way to accommodate us and really show an interest in her guests.
The location is perfect. My Ashland family even parked near the B&B to walk to the OSF. They said they doubted they could find something much closer than that.
I will certainly stay here again next time I'm in Ashland.

Room Tip: The rooms vary greatly in size. The innkeeper can help you choose one that has the right amount of room for you.

Absolutely love this bed and breakfast. Not only is it a piece of American history, but it is very comfortable and homey. and The innkeeper is extremely accommodating, and the food is excellent and varied. Literally one block from everything- the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Main St., all the excellent restaurants, and Lithia Park (which ALL should visit!). The environment is incredibly personal, and the people that stay here are clean cut and respectable. I definitely will be staying here the next time I visit Ashland :D

Room Tip: The Carriage Houses are excellent if you want an isolated room and intend on arriving late between dinners or plays.

Wonderful location for OSF and other Ashland activities. Great staff and wonderful chef (try her chocolate ginger cookies, YUM). Very helpful owner--Nola--with good restaurant recommendations. The Chaucer room is lovely and has windows that look out into the trees and garden. Very comfortable place to stay!

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice.

The Carriage House North room has been beautifully renovated. The room is separated from the main house by a small, tranquil garden. It is sunny, roomy and decorated with careful attention to detail (like the little bouquet of fresh flowers, needlepoint wall hanging), and nice fluffy pillows, thick bed quilt, nice plantation shutters on the windows, updated bathroom--even robes hanging in the closet. It's roomier than the Carriage House South (we took a peek inside). Location is great--about a block from the theaters In short, it has been updated with all the modern conveniences set within a well maintained Victorian. Breakfast was delicious. Loved the muffins!

The historic McCall house is charming and well-maintained. Beds were comfortable and the innkeeper and her assistant were professional and courteous. The breakfast was also delicious.
