There were four in our party headed for Ashland. We descended on Blue Moon to rendevouz, the innkeeps were not expecting us, however, they were kind enough to allow us a few minutes to re-group and head out until check in time. Upon our arrival @3.pm. nice freshly baked chocolate muffins awaited us! They were mighty tasty.
We were pleased at the thoughtfulness. The entire stay was pleasant, both Julie, Jean-Pierre were hospitable, warm and friendly. We had a nice exchange of conversations, topics and everyone contributed to this end. The breakfast was delicious, freshly prepared and nice presented. We plan to re-visit in the future.

My husband and I chose the Blue Moon for a two night stay in Ashland. Having only stayed in a B&B once before, we didn't know quite want to expect. We arrived late on Thursday and Jean-Pierre and Julie not only left the door open for us, but also had scones and tea set up for us upon our arrival. Our room was absolutely beautiful with bright colors and a newly remodeled bathroom with a spacious shower.

We awoke the next morning to a beautiful breakfast. Before our trip Jean-Pierre contacted us about any dietary preferences and since we are vegetarians they prepared fresh fruit, vegetable frittata, country potatoes and fresh bread. The breakfast filled us up the entire day and we did not need to eat again until dinner time. Jean-Pierre and Julie were really the most accommodating hosts. They were great to sit and visit with and just as willing to give us as much privacy as we wished.

My husband and I also appreciated the location. It was just a short walk to town and we parked the car at the B&B and did not need to move it until we left. We spent the day walking around Ashland and the park and in the evening we attended a play. This was truly an amazing little get-away for us and we hope to return!

I have stayed at the Blue Moon 10 times, almost since it first opened. There is a wonderful feeling returning to a place you know well. The innkeeper is always
charming, helpful, and planning something to keep his clients happy.
The place is not the fanciest place in town but it feels like visiting an old friend's
house rather than a hotel. There is always someone there who is interesting
and the discussions at the fabulous breakfast often go on long after the meal is
completed. I will certainly return next year.

My husband and I stayed at the Blue Moon for the fifth time this past August. Once again we were impressed by the innkeeper's service and excellent meals, and the great atmosphere this place has.

This time we stayed in the lovely "Sunrise" room that looks out on the patio, and as expected, it was impeccably clean and beautifully furnished, like the other rooms on the property we've stayed in previously.

The delicious breakfasts and tea snacks add the proverbial icing on the cake here. As long as we return to Ashland, we will come back to the Blue Moon!

On our 4th trip to Ashland we thought we’d try someplace new. The location looked great. Stayed for 5 nights in “The Cottage”. Two big problems made us sure that we will be staying elsewhere in the future. The first, and most important...the place just wasn’t clean enough. The microwave had a broken handle, and lots of surface dirt, the knobs on the stove were very dirty, the side of the refrigerator really could have used a scrub...lots of dust bunnies under the bed and hanging from the rafters. The floor was sticky in spots. There was no fire alarm installed, just the wires hanging from the ceiling (this was fixed after I brought it to Dean’s attention). The second problem is the location. The bed in the Cottage is 10 feet from a fairly busy intersection...ear plugs were a necessity.

I was at the the Blue Moon Bed and Breafast Inn during the week of June 14th for every performance of the Shakespeare Oregon Festival. It was a lovely experience to have been hosted by Blue Moon's owner and host, Dean Clark. The rooms were comfortable, exceptionally clean and cozy; while the food was exquisite and delicious! Dean had answers to questions not only about locales in Ashland, but the history of the Shakespeare Festival itself. What a devine experience! You don't want to miss this place during your visit to Ashland.

How does anyone know which inn to stay in? We recently took a chance and stayed 2 nights, in the “Blue Moon Room“, at the Blue Moon B & B…It was very,,,,,well, BLUE! We’d been traveling for 2 weeks, so we were not able to make reservations ahead of time. This is not like us, as surprises can be a, a, scary experience! Besides I like to do my homework on a place first. Being the last minute folks here, we got the last room.. Yeah! We were thankful for that…

The Inn is located at the corner of 2 semi busy streets, on a city lot. Quite a bit of traffic in the day, but much quieter at night for sleeping. That was a relief.
Our bed was too soft, with a sag in the middle..

There is an inviting deck off the back porch with tables, umbrellas, and chairs. It was nice to eat breakfast outside, one of the mornings. It was enjoyable sitting around the large table and chatting with the other guests. There is also a small garden area. Other Trip advisor posters mention the inn as being spacious. It’s a small Inn ,all the way around.

We enjoyed tea and treats at 5:00 in the afternoon. Blueberry cheesecake bars one day, and coffeecake the next. First days breakfast was an oatmeal soufflé with apricots and raisins baked inside. A sweet type of dish. Second day was a crustless quiche with artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes and spinach. A savory dish. Also country potatoes.
Both mornings had beautiful fresh fruit platters, and fresh squeezed orange juice.
Very nice touch.

We most enjoyed Dean the Innkeeper, with his good dinner suggestions, Ashland, and our stay here.
