This was our second stay the Pocono Chalet! Once again we had a blast. It was freezing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we didn't get to go skiing or tubing. But the house is so cozy and accommodated our large group. Love, love, love the fireplaces! We made some great memories and already have plans for our 3rd Annual SBT (Ski Bunny Trip)! Thanks Heidi!

“Beautiful, spacious, fun way to hit the Poconos with family and friends”
Reviewed 28 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

Our traditional ski trip with friends just stepped up another notch this year thanks to this Pocono Chalet. We had 3 families, including 6 adults, 6 school age children and an infant. We could have fit at least another family comfortably. This house has all the basics you need, meaning plenty of space, beds, bathrooms, etc.—and a whole lot more. The "more" begins with a beautiful panoramic view through a wall of windows onto a mountaintop including views of a ski resort, which I presume was Blue Mountain (because it was lit up at night). The "more" continued with fun ways to entertain the kids and the kids at heart, such as foosball, board games, and of course plenty of TVs. Plus, there was extravagant amenities like a sauna, jacuzzi tub, and a hotel-quality shower downstairs. So pick your flavor, you should be covered. But most important for a Pocono Chalet is it's proximity to ski resorts. It was a half an hour to 40 minutes from all the major resorts. We went to the aforementioned Blue Mountain (less than 30 min. drive) and were planning to do Jack Frost on day 2. However, kids weren't up for it and the weather spiked up to almost 60 degrees, not exactly skiing weather. So we ad-libbed and went for a hike in the nature reserve that is basically right behind the house. Unexpected bonus. Finally, another important factor in picking any vacation rental is a personable and accommodating host. In this case, the owner was very responsive all weekend to emails and questions and had an informative packet ready for us that detailed all the how to's, such as how to access the wifi, how to turn on the sauna, or setup the wood-burning stove/fireplace. Definitely recommend.

This house is absolutely gorgeous-- particularly the views as others have mentioned. We enjoyed breakfast with the sunlight coming in the floor to ceiling windows in the mornings and watching the lights come on over the ski trails after a beautiful sunset in the evenings. My husband and I stayed here with four of our friends and there was a ton of space; the house will easily accommodate 10 comfortably. All of the rooms were comfortable and in great condition. Plus, we had only a short drive for skiing at Big Boulder! On top of the property itself, the owner was a delight to work with. Friendly and tremendously thoughtful as well. I had never done this kind of house rental before and she was flexible and explained everything along the way. We all had a fantastic time and hope to come back again!

“Great place with great views!”
Reviewed 20 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

I was hesitant to book anything based on my previous experience, but this place rocked! The backyard is basically a natural reserve -- only beautiful trees and a very nice fire pit, which was used extensively. The sauna is also a treat! Overall, I would definitely book this house again.

“A fabulous mountain escape!”

I just wanted to send a note to thank you for making your home available to us as a rental property.
Your house provided all the comforts of home including your fully stocked kitchen, which made cooking a pleasure. There was more than ample sleeping space for our large crew and everyone slept very comfortably.
The living areas were amazing with the beautiful stone fireplace on the main level and wood burning stove on the lower level. The attached garage also provided a great space to store our extra food supplies and libations!
The bathrooms were immaculate and the sauna was a great place to retreat after a day of skiing!
But for me, the best part of the home has got to be the sensational views from the floor to ceiling windows. From morning, while watching the birds eat from the feeder, until night time and seeing the lights on the mountain for night skiing, the views were simply amazing! Watching the snowfall from that vantage was also stunning.
My entire family looks forward to making our stay at your home a yearly event and we would highly recommend our experience to anyone looking for a fabulous place to stay. Heidi was a pleasure and very informative and accommodating. Thank you again for such a great experience!

“It was so RELAXING that we never left!!!!”

My husband and I stayed here sometime last year. I never had a chance to write a review after we left but we enjoyed our stay so much that I didn't want it to go undone. To start the owner is EXTREMELY accommodating!!!! She made sure that we were in safe and comfortable. From the moment we arrived we couldn't figure out how to get in. As late as it was we were able to call her and she stayed on the phone with us till we were settled in. The house is extremely clean, plenty of space, but so cozy and The view is AMAZING!!!! It was so relaxing we never left he house the entire vacation. When it came time to leave, because we never left the entire time, our car was snowed in. Again late at night the owner was there for us. She quickly had a plow come and get us out. So thankful that this man came out so late we tipped him. I informed her that we did so. She didn't have to do this, but when she PROMTLY returned our deposit, she also sent the amount of the tip back. We highly recommend it.
