“A "Road Trip" Down Memory Lane”
Reviewed 13 August 2014

A cool little gem in downtown Allentown, this museum was a pleasant surprise with vintage vehicles of every description. The displays are well done and more plentiful than you would expect. There's everything from antique bikes to WWII motorcycles, to Mack trucks and even an amphibious car! Admission is extremely reasonable and if you are a AAA member, you get a twofer! Kids will love sitting in the driver's seat of a real Mack truck. Another bit of nostalgia is the 50s era soda fountain. Although they do not actually "jerk" sodas as in the old days, the ambience is there. Weekends there may be a "celebrity" behind the counter. If you are in the over 55 crowd, be sure to ask for your soda to be made with seltzer to get the taste you remember from childhood!

“Great Museum”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

We were absolutely surprised by this museum. I was expecting just a few cars sitting around that would be fun to look at but instead we were treated to a very new and modern building with absolutely gorgeous cars set in very realistic mock settings. We visited a car museum in Greenwich NY a couple of years ago which was phenomenal so I wasn't expecting anything close to it but except for the fact that it didn't have as many autos this museum in many ways was even better. Even my 87 year old mother in law enjoyed herself and non of us are real big auto buffs. A really nice cross section of autos and motorcycles. So even if you are mildly interested in either autos or history this is a fun way to have a neat day trip. Also, The staff was so nice and very helpful. Thank you Linda for the time you spent with us. Will be back!

“great exhibits”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

I've been here twice with visitors to Allentown. They and I have loved it both times. Great exhibits, very impressive. The first time the major exhibit was very early cars; the second time, cars of the 1950s. But in addition to the major exhibit, there are other exhibits showcasing cars of different eras and other vehicles such as Mack trucks and antique fire engines. Great place for both adults and children.
