I had a combo - empanadas, taco and enchiladas.. Empanadas were over-cooked and had one little piece of chicken each and the enchilada tasted like it was made with cheese wiz. The taco was ok. But what they lack in quality they make up for in volume - tons of rice and beans on the plate. If you can stomach it, you certainly won't leave hungry.

Stopped here on vacation. The food was good but average, but the wait staff worked like a well run machine. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Praise to the staff! It was very crowed but service was good because everyone knew there jobs and did them wonderfully. The manager also was going around checking on everything. What service. Everyone deserves a gold star. If back in the area, would go again.

Ordered food for associate appreciation week. They were very accommodating. Staff went out of there way to make sure all customers were happy. They should be rewarded for the empathy, patience, and great customer service. An individual arrived while I was waiting and was in a hurry. She was not very pleasant to the staff. They kept their cool and expedited her order. Great Job. It must have shaken them a bit because they forgot some of my items. When I arrived at my destination there was a car that pulled in right after me with the missing items. Way to go On The Border. Good food and great staff. Keep up the great work. Customer service is such an artform and you don't see such and outstanding staff at work.

Not a fan of chain restaurants but was looking for something different the other day and decided to give them a try. They have a patio that was not open because it was a cool rainy day. Southwest decor. Large menu. I like an ethnic restaurant to have products of the country of their cuisine. They had an ample variety of Mexican bottled beers and tequilas but also had three Mexican beers on draft. Sat at the bar, service was fast and courteous. After perusing the menu I decided on the Border sampler. Steak nachos, chicken flautas, chicken quesadillas, served with pico de gallo, original queso, guacamole, sour cream and pickled jalapenos and carrots. They make their own tortilla chips that a large and serve a basket of them with fresh salsa. Some time samplers can be a bit skimpy this was not. The steak nachos covered a third of the large oval plate, refried beans oozing with melted cheese and pieces of steak. The flautas were crispy with plenty of chicken which I dipped in the queso. The quesadillas filled an other third of the plate, loaded with chicken and cheese. The guacamole was fresh and actually had a few large pieces of avocado in it. could have used a bit more of the pico de gallo and the queso ( the serving cup was 2/3 full). This was definitely a meal for one. Easily an app for three to four people. Washed it down with a draft Negra Modelo. One of their dessert options was a two piece order of Sopapillas (instead of the usual five) with the choice of chocolate or honey or both as dipping sauces. I choice both. The honey was real and the closest thing I can compare the chocolate sauce to would be the hot fudge for a hot fudge sundae. Not a fan of chain restaurants and prefer Mex to texmex but must say that I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant.
