We just traveled to dorney last week. We went mid week and was impressed. Short lines good price lots of rides. However the food was terrible and not alot of options. Would go again but would bring lunch and leave park to eat.

“Good Park with so many rides but avoid peak summer weekends!”
Reviewed 9 August 2010

We visited this park on August 7, 2010. The park is nice and it has rides for all the age-group. We chose it over Six Flags Hurricane Harbor because it has water park and amusement park both covered in one ticket.

Wild Water Kingdom – It has several nice rides. AquaBlast was really fun! We enjoyed Wave Pool very much. Patriots Plunge and Wild Water Rapids are good. Cascade was ok. We couldn’t do Runaway River because of very long wait period. There were many things to do for kids too. This park is little congested .

Dorney Park – It is very big park with so many fun rides, kiddo rides and roller coasters. Roller-coasters – Talon and Hydra are superb. Possessed is really unique! These coasters are very well comparable to Six Flags roller coasters. White Water Landing was so much fun (everybody in my group voted it the best ride because of big water splash). Dominator - both free fall and launch were exciting.

We enjoyed many things but it would have been more enjoyable if we would have visited on less crowded day. One of the staff member told us that this was the day with biggest crowd till now in this summer.

I would say:

1. Avoid weekends when there is school vacation because there is a wait period of 20-45 minutes for one ride.
2. Food is really costly. 12$ for a foot-long subway sandwich! It’s good to pack lunch from home.
3. Locker fees are 11$(small) and 21$(big)! Haven’t seen such costly lockers at Disney or Universal also. If possible, carry a small bag for Water Park.

Some particular people were cutting lines and they were so rude.

“Overcrowded park will kill the day”
Reviewed 9 August 2010

We come from central nj, four of us went this weekend. Lets start with the obvious, they have plenty of attractions and rides to enjoy, that is undeniable...It is a huge park with lots to do, but hard to do lots when the park is jammed from wall to wall. We arrived at noonish and we had to pay 15 for parking...ridiculous...Next, you go in and have 2 deal with line to get tickets, thank god we bought online..Proceed into park and thinking we may pay 3 or 4 dollars for a locker, instead its 15 and 25, with 4 dollars back based on what locker u request...So before we have even done anything, minus ticket costs, we have put 30 dollars out...and remember where you park, cuz u will go in and come out with a mass load of cars...use those charlie brown pictures..lol..the water rides were coo, but the lines were ridiciulous...we spent 45-hr to get on water rides, we only did like 3 rides, unreal!!!!!!!!...Maybe thats a weekend thing...Anyways, the wave pool looked overrated and really they do waves like every some on minutes, which defeats the purpose in my eyes...Another thing I couldnt help but notice was the crowd itself..I have never seen so many ugly people, and im not discriminatin on any races, many looked like bottomn of the barrel and some behaviors exemplified this..At one point, I saw two people yelling and screaming back and forth for 25 minutes about some bs So expect lots of trash in terms of crowd

Food prices are a disgrace..I cant believe i paid 12 dollars for a personal pizza, Yuck, and small soda...They have nerve chargin these prices

“GOOD PARK...FOOD IS A RIP OFF”
Reviewed 8 August 2010

We went to the park on July 30th. The park has many rides and roller coasters for the whole family to enjoy. For the most part, I can say that I had a really nice time with the exception of two things (1) food is way too expensive (2) thunder canyon no storage like at Disney. I think it's a rip off to pay for a locker while you ride a ride and then the ride holds 8 people and we had exactly 8 people and the attendants told us we had to split up. That was truly disappointing...not to mention $4.50 for one slice of pizza and $4.00 for one cup of soda. We spent $45.00 on lunch and were still hungry. Next time we will pack a cooler in the car and have lunch outside. I think the park is worth going to and would recommend to friends, but would stress...pack lunch in the car and bring your stuff out to the car if you want to ride the water raft.

“Never go on a weekend”
Reviewed 25 July 2010

The park overall is fun for the family. The ride variety for the kids and adults are perfect balance. the biggest problem is that you can't get on the rides and you can't get anywhere never the water park. the buses were pouring in from NY, NJ, and Philly. watched 2 fights break out in the parking lot. The buses leave at approx 5pm so the parks clear out quickly. So, my recommendation is go very early or go in the evening(after 5) and never, ever go on the weekend. The only reason we went on the weekend is that my work had free passes for company picnic. Dorney should learn to limit that amount of people that are granted access due to overcrowding. .God for that there was a fire or other emergency since people would be killed.
