A lost reservation had our group of 6 waiting far longer than expected and the hostess had zero personality, making the wait seem longer and more intolerable than usual. Why you pick someone who clearly has no talent for dealing with the public to be your hostess is a mystery to me; just keeping us updated on our wait would have gone a long way to appeasing us. We had eaten here on multiple occasions in the past though I guess more time than usual had passed as the renovations were a surprise to us. It looks like they are turning it more into its sister restaurant, Roma, which we had eaten at as well but it didn't have the cozy feel that Taste of Italy used to have (the jury is still out on the renovations since they weren't done yet). The food and service were as good as always once we did finally get seated. I'm sure we'll be back but next time we'll make our reservations online rather than trust the phone.
