“They're doing gluten-free now!”

Overall, always a delicious meal here, especially the pizza. Very friendly place… complimentary glass of wine with dinner. Now that they have gluten-free pasta & pizza it's a perfect restaurant for our family.

“Go-to Family Restaurant for Italian cuisine”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 October 2013

If Paese Mio did not exist, I would have to invent it. Here is a place where you can stop for a take-out slice or stromboli, or sit down for a traditional Italian meal, While the kitchen churns out cheese steaks and pizzas, they also can produce some serious pasta al forno and specialties with seafood. The owners are Sicilian, and their seafood selections as entrees are very good.

The nice thing about this place is that Momand Dad can have some serious Italian Cuisine, Bring their own wine and thekidsan have a couple of slices or a strom. Everybody is happy.

The owners are almost always on site, and they make sure the quality is right.

“Will definitely go back!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 August 2013

Just had my first meal at Paese Mio and I can't believe we haven't discovered this place sooner. My eggplant rollatine was scrumptious, nice tender eggplant with lots of cheese, a pretty hearty portion considering it was lunch. The prices on the lunch menu were very reasonable for what you got. The décor is quaint and cozy and felt very much like restaurants in Italy. We are hoping to try the cute outdoor dining area (but wondering how noisy the Tilghman St. traffic might be?). There were lots of things on the menu that look enticing and I liked that they had a table with actual plates of food to show their specials. Also, our server was great, good balance of friendliness and efficiency.

“Inconsistent”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2013

This place has been around for a long time. It's an awkward building. If they don't have a table available, they have a very uncomfortable waiting area in the "to go" place which is a high traffic zone. We've gone there a number of times. Sometimes the food and service is good. Some times it's not. Once in a while, both are terrible. So, our most recent visit was our last. My wife's eggplant parmasean was bitter. The owner told us that sometimes the eggplant isn't ripened all the way. Didn't offer to get her something else or take it off the bill. Just walked away. What arrogance. Never know if you're going to get the good Paese Mio or the bad Maese Mio. Will no longer waste my time---and money---to find out. Fuhgeddaboutit!!!!!
