This close to ACU campus location is a frequent stop for us. The rooms could use a deeper cleaning and the internet is not reliable.
This stay there was a clicking noise in the room...not the a/c.
The staff is always friendly.

We were traveling during the Pre-Thanksgiving Winter Storm (2013) and got caught up in the sleet and freezing rain. On top of all this, we were traveling with a dog and therefore had not planned on spending the night - but after 14 hours on the road in Winter Conditions - we were exhausted and still 4 hours from our destination. We called the hotel directly when we were about 2.5 hours out and Bridget was very helpful. When we arrived at the hotel another 3.5 hours later (due to weather) Tiffany at the front desk was very pleasant and most helpful. We were very relieved to find a spacious and clean room. The hotel is a little old but has been well maintained. Bottom Line - we found our room clean, warm and very inviting after our long day. We are now La Quinta fans!
We chose this hotel for price, You get what you pay for. The front desk staff was eating dinner with a family member and was not too happy to help us check in once we arrived. We got to the room and the room was in much need of repair/remodeling. They put a nice flat screen TV in a room that looked like it was from the 90's. The curtains were see through so we had to use towels to cover the window just so nobody could see into our room at night. There was a sewing needle in the curtains holding the curtains together. The tubs drain was clogged, it was like taking a shower and a bath at the same time. The water in the shower was either freezing cold or scolding hot, there was no warm water
This is one of the very old style La Quinta hotels. It seems to very well kept and as clean as could be expected. The beds were nice. The front desk was helpful and prompt. The location for my business in Abilene was good. There are several good restaurants near and a Denny's next door. I would stay here again.
We needed a place to sleep while were traveling with our 2 dogs. We chose La Quinta because of their pet friendly policy. The hotel is an older property, with entrance to the rooms from the outside. The room was clean and comfortable, but breakfast was just minimal fare. Great value an met our needs.
