A very nice little place to stay. It’s within walking distance of the college and sports fields. The rooms are small but well appointed and very clean. Although it is near the railroad tracks, the trains were not noticeable during our 2-night stay. There is an outdoor pool which is seasonal and a fire pit. Fire pit was stocked with wood but no kindling or lighter so we didn’t get to enjoy it this trip. Also there was no breakfast other than coffee and cereal bars on Monday morning but there are options across the street including McDonalds and Magoo’s Place.

Stayed: October 2017

This is a very nice place. Very interesting atmosphere. Great place for a small town visit. Not to far from the mysterious Marfa lights, home to Sul Ross University. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Spent a quiet weekend at the Maverick Inn. The western decor has a lot of character, and is very nice. Our room was small, but comfortable. Everything was clean, and the staff were great. We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed 2 nights at the Maverick Inn, the night before and the night following our rafting trip in Big Bend National Park, so 2 different rooms. Both were darling with a comfortable bed, charming southwest furnishings including saltillo tile. We loved it! We met up with two other couples before dinner in a comfortable out door sitting area and enjoyed wine and conversation. Marfa's hotel dining proved to be our best dining experience in the area. By the way, our rafting trip with Far Flung down the Rio Grande was superb.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, the staff friendly and the location was perfect. We especially loved the porch. After our long rides on the motorcycle, it was a nice place to sit and relax. When we visit Alpine in the future, we plan on booking again.
