This is a great little barbque place, my wife said "The best barbque I've had in a long time!". And I agree! We were sent there by Coral, the desk clerk of the motel 6 next door. Turns out the place was rated in the top 50 bbq places in Texas. Tyler had it well staffed, nice size portions and really good barbque! I also thought it was super clean! I would Definently go back!! Probably go out of my way for the ribs!

“Hole in the Wall type atmosphere, but great food!”

This was a great stop right off the interstate in Amarillo. The brisket was really good, good smoked flavor. The ribs were good, but the brisket had more flavor and the ones we got were not melting off the bones as other reviews mentioned so it was a little disappointing, but don't get me wrong, they were still really good. We were there on a Thursday so we were there for the Mac and cheese, the bacon Mac and Cheese was the best, followed by the green chili. It was slightly overcooked, but again, still good. Really loved the sauce- not too sweet and had a good kick to it. Very friendly staff. Would definitely come again!

Great bbq at a great price. Sausage is the best in town. Simple menu makes choice easy. Don't forget the cobbler

“Absolutely Amazing!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014

This is by far one of the best BBQ joints I have ever been to! This is how a BBQ restaurant should be. Great staff, rustic setting inside and amazing food. As we were eating, Tyler himself came out from the kitchen and talked with us. Really nice guy. They only make a certain amount of food everyday so they can maintain their quality of food. Once they're out, that's it, they close. It could happen at 4pm or 8pm. We were referred here by a couple of locals. They told us to get there early before they run out of food. I thought they were joking. As we were sitting down eating, they ran out of food and the closed sign went up. As he was doing that, a couple of regulars came in, (Tyler knew them by name). He apologized and told them they were done for the night. They were bummed but apparently knew how it works and said they would be back the next day. Everything is homemade and very good. Yes, the beans are more like a bean soup rather than the "typical" beans in a sweetened sauce. Still, they are really good. If you are in Amarillo, you must make this a stop during your time there. You won't be disappointed!

“Authentic local BBQ joint”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014 via mobile

No frills here, but the chopped brisket and the ribs were excellent. Standard sides, and they appear to be homemade. The beans are not BBQ beans but rather a soupy, smokey, peppery mixture. The sauce is a sweet BBQ type, similar to kc masterpiece. Two plates with two sides, toast and drinks were about $30. You can get takeout, and there are daily specials. Not fancy, just good BBQ. Soft drinks only.
