“Local flavor through and through”
Reviewed 8 October 2013

Not a wussy, "sorry sir, our corporate regulations forbid us from cooking your burger any less than medium," kind of place. You can smell the smoke from the grills and sense the grease on the walls. It's not in the picturesque, suburban western side of Amarillo but on the grittier east side. Skip the Big Texan on 40 and come have half pound burger at this place. You will feel like you've been to Texas and you won't need to eat again for a very long time.

Looks like it could be crowded, so when you go, don't be a fool and go at 12:15 on Friday.

“Expected more!!!”
Reviewed 15 September 2013

This place is way overrated. When we drove up, I rechecked the reviews, to make sure I did not have the wrong place.
Tried the "Burger from Hell", lacked heat for my taste buds and it was very greasy, The place is not my style, though it may appeal to some.

“Old Fashion Hamburgers at their best”
Reviewed 7 September 2013

Yes, had to go to see what everyone was talking about. Loved the hamburger. Waiting outside was an experience in itself - talking with everyone else was just plan fun. There are only 12 tables inside, so you best enjoy waiting outside and talking. So not a place to sit back and relax - but if you need a hamburger fix filled - it can be done here.

“Total dive...worth the drive.”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

Saw this place on Man vs. Food and made it our first stop on our way back home from our Arizona summer road trip. Bottled beers in ice in a cast iron tub as you walk in. Extremely friendly staff. Your eyes will water from them sauteeing jalapeno peppers for their signature "Burger from Hell", which is what was eaten on Man vs. Food. My son ate it as well, and let me have a bite. DELICIOUS! A very mellow heat and very palatable. The rest of us had burgers as well, and they were outstanding. We highly recommend it!
