After reading some of the reviews, I wondered about staying here. I did not find any of the negatives. The staff were friendly and efficient. They gave us a room with easy access outside for our dog. The room was clean, good sized, and thoroughly enjoyable. Common areas were clean, if a little worn in spots. Breakfast was your normal La Quinta breakfast. The only down side I found was the limited variety of food close by. Denny's, Waffle House, Subway, and Javi's Best of Tex-Mex (which wasn't bad). Otherwise, you have to drive a ways. I would stay there again on my next trip to Austin.
Problem La Quinta has is the inconsistencies between their hotels. This place is old and dated and looks it. The "trip advisor" rating at the front desk is obviously "dated" as well. It doesn't help that this is located at a major intersection where full-blown construction is occurring....
Room was ok and clean, staff fine. Amenities were terrible. Broken locks on doors, elevator not functional. All fitness equipment broken, worn out. No Soap vending for laundry? Breakfast....slim pickins there...all-in-all, you'd do better booking at the Holiday Express two doors down.....come on, La Quinta, you can do better-especially at the rates you're charging here!
I've stayed here several times while flying out of Austin, the staff is very accommodating abd the shuttle provides you with gate drop off and pick up and allows you to leave your vehicle at hotel! Don't try to save a few dollars and stay at the other surrounding hotels ... I've don't that and not worth the $10-$20 savings.
Public toilet at desk was filthy !!! human waste on seat, both tp holders broken, tp on floor!! Maintenance staff should be fired; after 5 days the public restroom was still broken with both tp holders gone, and tp on floor !! Trashy patio area daily!! look elsewhere for clean hotels in this area, Not Here!
