I booked two rooms through hotwire, after taxes it cost $150 per room per night. It was on campus at the south end, nearly downtown, about 5 block walk to the Capitol. The valet parking was a bit expensive at $24, but was quick and efficient. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and comfortable. The place was full during a football weekend, but the crowd did not cause any breakdown of good service. It is a good place to stay for anyone visiting U. Texas.

This year-old hotel is fabulous. The location can't be beat if you're visiting the university. The students working at the hotel were very professional and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Just wish it wasn't so expensive, but you get what you pay for!

My son and I were in town to visit the University and see Austin for the weekend and had a wonderful stay here. The location couldn't have been better--we were able to walk all over campus, to the football game, along Guadalupe to restaurants--we only used our car to head out of town to a barbecue spot recommended to us and to visit the South Congress neighborhood. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, responsive when we had questions or needed help (with our TV remote). The bathroom was very functional, clean, loved the Aveda bath products--we'd definitely stay here again.

I wanted to stay in Downtown Austin so I could walk around to restaurants and bars without having to worry about driving, parking or cabs. This was advertised as a "downtown" property, but we couldn't really walk to anywhere other than the campus. So in addition to paying for parking at the hotel, we had to pay for cabs, too. The place was fine and the staff was really nice (except for the stressed out coffee woman.) If you are visiting a student or going to a college football game, this is a great location, but not the best location if your goal is to be downtown and away from the kids.

Also, the pool is also kind of lame; way too small to do laps, too hot to cool you down on a hot day, but not hot enough to be relaxing on a cool one. They would be better off increasing the temp and saying they had a large hottub instead of a swimming pool. I swim for excercize and thought that this was misleading.

But again, the staff was really great.

Next time you stay with us, the University allows our guests access to the Rec Center that has several pools from Olympic to lounging. Thanks again!

The AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center is the perfect spot for a professional conference or working retreat with your colleagues. The venue is so well-suited with working spaces and a tranquil courtyard that your work almost becomes relaxing! The Wifi connection was seamless and the break-out rooms and quiet work enclaves were ideal for small group work. The staff were very accommodating considering I was on crutches. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The catering was delicious and the location is superb for exploring the university campus and nightlife in Austin.

We stayed two nights at this hotel located on the campus of the University of Texas. It is in a great, central location in Austin and allows you to walk to various restuarants and attractions in the area. The hotel itself is quite nice, with granite and marble in the lobby. The front desk clerks were very nice and helpful. We had booked this room through an online site, so they gave us a room with two queen beds instead of a king that we requested and the room seemed crowded with too much furniture. The room was very clean and the bathroom area was as well. The bathroom had the feature where the sink was outside the room and the toilet and shower were in a separate room. The shower area was a bit cramped for space but it was nice not waiting for the sink to get ready. There is no breakfast included at this hotel, but they do have a couple of restaurants in the downstairs lobby. You have to pay for parking in their garage. Great place for business travel and of course if you child is attending the university.
