“Good Place to Stay”
Reviewed 22 January 2013

I stay at this hotel on a regular basis an dhave never been dissappointed. It is actually my favorite courtyard. Staff is friendly and accomodating and rooms are always clean. The location is great if you're going to multiple locations. You're just north of Austin and south of Round Rock. In addition, they have the best hotel special for that afterwork cocktail with Texas beers starting at $2.50. My only real complaint is the shower...the water pressure is awful. In any case, I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a new place to stay when business takes you to Austin

Well-maintained, renovated property with a friendly, energetic staff. Beds are very comfortable, rooms are well-furnished. Lobby is attractive, breakfast convenient, reaonably-priced. We always stay here when visiting Austin and have had uniformly good experiences.

Recommend asking for rooms on the wing away from I35 if you are a light sleeper.

After staying for 3 nights around Thanksgiving, we would describe this hotel as clean but not spotless and the staff as friendly though not trained to a professional level. The hotel is not very old but unattended maintainence problems are developing already. In our room, the very doors to the shower had not been installed correctly and did not close completely. The mini-fridge rocked on its base and required 2 hands and a very firm pull to open the door. In the lobby, we could not sit in several of the modern-style chairs which rocked when they should have been stable. There were large, visible scratches on some of the cabinetry in our room and in the lobby. All of this said, the hotel does have some nice features such as free PCs and free wireless in the lobby. Near the front desk, there is a large, wall-mounted touchscreen with Google maps which is great for finding directions. The hotel has several nice outdoor seating areas. The exercise room is large and was stocked with cold water, earbuds, and towels. The free coffee in the mornings was of good quality as were the fairly-priced food items that we purchased from the "bistro" and snack areas . Our room did also have a microwave. We could open the window in our room slightly for fresh air in the mornings. In back of the hotel, we found a lighted, landscaped park with a 1/3 mile path built around 2 large ponds. Because there are very few sidewalks in the area, the park may offer the safest route (though not the shortest one) for walking to the HEB grocery and the various restaurants which are across the highway. A 24-Hour Fitness is located almost adjacent to the hotel. Curiously, the hotel's TV package included 2 Japanese-language channels!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the northwest (back) side to reduce noise from the Interstate highway.

This property is convenient to all areas of Austin. A little close to the I35 corridor but I did not find the traffic to cause any noise issues. there are no resturants inthe immediate area. You will have to drive to them. Hotel was clean and orderly. Staff was professional and helpful. Rooms wre current and new. The mattesses wfirm but comfy. Made for a good jumping off spot to downtown party areas. No free breakfast options :>(

Room Tip: Away from the road (backside)

I spent a night here in Sept. The staff was great at making recommendations and the hotel has a shuttle to take you to restaurants and shopping within 5 miles. Rooms are clean and comfortable. My bed was hard and I would have liked a refrigerator in my room. They have the usual Marriott restaurant downstairs. Fruit was very fresh.

Room Tip: Try the bed. The manager told me most beds aren't hard.

Dear Guest!

Thank you so much for taking the time to rate us and comment about your stay at TripAdvisor. The feedback that we receive is so valuable in the improvement process. At the first of October, we got refrigerators and microwaves in nearly 75% of the rooms and plan to have the last 25% delivered just after the first of the year. Anytime you stay, feel free to request it and if there is a room available, we would be more than happy to accommodate that request!

In addition, I am glad you were able to use the shuttle to get to some of the amazing near by eating establishments! North Austin has some great food at very reasonable prices AND less the traffic headache to get to South Austin!

We look forward to having you back next time and if you need anything before then, please do not hesitate to let us know!

One of the best hotels we've stayed at in a long time. Extremely comfortable king sized bed, large room & exceptionally clean. Very pleasant lobby area with a "bistro" serving snacks, coffees & wine. The staff were very warm & friendly. The only thing missing was a refrigerator, which we commonly use on our travels. Will definitely stay here again on our trips to Austin.

Thank you for taking the time to rate our wonderful hotel! As I have said on numerous occassions, we love hearing about the experiences that our guests had. That is how we grow as an organization and as a team!

Our Bistro is a great place! It has wide open spaces to stretch out and relax as well as several TV's to watch the news, football games, or any other shows that you may desire! We have happy our every evening as well as a drink of the day every evening in the Bistro!

We are currently working toward getting refrigerators in every room but, until then we do have a few that we can put into rooms. Next time you stay with us, just request a room with a refrigerator at check-in and we will do what we can to ensure that request is met!

Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you next time you travel to Austin!

We spent two comfortable nights at this Courtyard during our visit to Austin. The lobby and rooms of the hotel have recently been updated. Everything looked and smelled new and fresh. The lobby is one of the “new-concept” Courtyards with Starbucks products and a Bistro, which we did not use. The lobby is very spacious. The rates were very reasonable, with free parking.

Convenient location along IH-35. It is an easy and short drive to get downtown and to the University of Texas campus. There is not much in terms or restaurants within walking distance, but several are located within a short driving distance. Our room was on the quiet side of the hotel, away from IH-35. It was clean and very quiet. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional. The Wi-Fi worked well in the room. The climate control for the room worked well.

Room Tip: Ask for room on the side of the hotel away from IH-35, as this is quiet side of the hotel.

Dear Guest,

We do have a very nice hotel and since we are just a month older than three years old, we are fortunate enough to have several of the newest products and features such as the larger open spaces, the Bistro, Starbucks, and larger rooms!
