My two sons (age 9 and 4) had a WONDERFUL time here. The outdoor space is well laid out. We got to see some Texas Wildlife up close and personal. Coyote, Owls, Opossom, Vultures, Hawks, even a Porcupine! The walking path was easy to follow and lead into another path without too much over lap. The indoor space is SUPER kid friendly... "Please, come in and touch" was written on the board. There are two rooms, one side has bones, skins and other animal parts for the kids to explore and look at up close with the magnifying glasses and microscopes provided. The other room has more open space for exploring the wonders of the Texas wildlife. The restrooms were clean and cool (both important facts for enjoying Texas outdoors in the hot summer). The staff was great and kid friendly. Both kids can't wait to go back. Great place!

Great place for the kids to run around, play, and learn a little. Fun for adults too.

While the rescued mammals and birds are still in awful old-school cages, the center as a whole has cool hands-on items, a gorgeous woodsy surrounding, access to a preserve, and the sand pit where you can dig up dinosaur bones. (Coincidentally the fakes you dig up here are the ones on display for real at the Texas Memorial Museum so make it a double!) The creek is lovely, the animals have great stories behind why they came to be here, and you get to see all kinds of native Texas flora and fauna. Check it out especially if you have kids.

Its an outdoor museum. It could use some updates. Didn't interest the kids much and didn't have a lot to see.
