“wonderful education”
Reviewed 11 January 2014

This was a very interesting in depth look at LBJ. I loved where u could listen in on his conversations and hear him strong arming people into doing what they didn't want to. Surprisingly, we spent a few hours here. The library is in a rather ugly concrete box but the exhibits are interesting; I guess they are new. I even bought a pair of sunglasses from the gift shop. They say they are shatterproof, so far dropped them 7 times and no chips.

“We were curious about the newly redone library”
Reviewed 7 January 2014

We had been to the LBJ Presidential Library many years ago and knew it had been redone. We took friends over Xmas. It was strange - although it was very very nice - it was so different than the old library. It was much more spread out, on 3 floors. Overall I would say it was very well done, with information about his childhood, family, Lady Bird, and there is a replica of the oval office as it was when he was president. There is much about the culture of the time and Kennedy's death. Somehow it felt a little empty though - not sure why - maybe because so spread out. But if you love LBJ, Texas or history it is worth going. You could spend anywhere from an hour to much more.

They just started charging admission - but it is reasonable. Impressive interior with good exhibits.
