“More than groceries”
Reviewed 13 June 2013

As fresh and varied are the products they offer, the best part of this place is just to sit back outside and enjoy the scene. From great music, to people watching, to eating and drinking something that was bought in the grocery store or at the inside restaurants, this is where you want to be, especially if you had a rough day. Great place to just sit and relax

“Awesome Market!”
Reviewed 2 May 2013

This was the first time visiting the Central Market on Lamar Blv. in Austin, Texas. It was an amazing experience. They had EVERYTHING I needed from organic foods, natural vitiamins and fresh produce. THey had a bulk section and also a wonderful wine selection. I saw things I had never seen before especially in the fruit and vegetable section. The atmosphere and staff were exceptional. They made their own mixed juice. When your on the road all the time and cant carry your juicer just go to Central Market, they have about 8 different mixes, apple, lemon, ginger; green drink, etc. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Back at Central Market...”

FUN! FUN! FUN! place to shop for groceries and eat and listen to music. Wonderful maze of aisles full of stuff from all over the world. On selected dates there are themed events that shouldn't be missed. The food is excellent...floral department is breathtaking (especially now at this time near Mother's Day) We always stop here for a meal, fresh ground coffee to take back to our lodging and usually get to hear amazing music by local musicians. Don't hesitate to pick up some fresho scones....try their mac n cheese at the deli as well as the soup bar. Enjoy!

I LOVE Central Market. It is great for picking up a meal or groceries. They frequently have live music outside on the patio. We usually go inside and pick up a desert and a drink and enjoy the music. The bands are usually very good.

“A must for the foodies”
Reviewed 5 March 2013

Central market was one of our favorite hang-outs in Austin. There had an amazing selection of organic produce. The fruits and vegetable all looked very fresh and appetizing. It was a delight just to browse all the goodies! They had everything from gourmet cheese, to handmade chocolates to great wines and much more. Also, they host many events including cooking classes and wine tastings. A list of events is usually available on their website.

Their cafe offered a good choice of pastas, salads, pizzas, sandwiches, burgers and drinks. We had a veggie burger (which was huge) with sweet potato fries and loved it! One can dine in the outdoor area where there are bands playing a variety of music.

With a great al fresco dine and wine experience in a fun atmosphere while listening to live music, Central market provides a glimpse into that lovable and addictive Austin spirit!
