Not to be missed as a Destination thing to do when in Austin. One can also dine in the restaurant there, and get food to go that is prepared, and food to go already assembled that is to cook for one serving and maybe up to four.
This is one of the first things I want to do in Austin.
My whole visit can take a such as the average time one spends in a museum, which is 1 1/2 hours.
I always take home their coatings, for example, the macadamia nut coating for chicken or fish!
Then there are always great sample of new products, besides sightings of things you have never seen even if you are an established foodie.

Enjoyed a cooking class coordinated by the UT Ransom Center staff in conjunction with the excellent World War I exhibit being held at the Ransom Center. Chef Louis combined humor, skill, and delicious ingredients to treat the participants to an informative class plus a wonderful lunch with traditional WWI dishes and special wines. An unusual and unique way to celebrate and highlight a phenomenal exhibit. Wonderful collaborative effort by Central Market cooking school and Ransom Center

We went there for a snack and walked out with great food. Their bred selection was great and fresh. Then we went back again the next morning. Everything is so good and fresh. It is a better version of whole foods...

As fresh and varied are the products they offer, the best part of this place is just to sit back outside and enjoy the scene. From great music, to people watching, to eating and drinking something that was bought in the grocery store or at the inside restaurants, this is where you want to be, especially if you had a rough day. Great place to just sit and relax

This was the first time visiting the Central Market on Lamar Blv. in Austin, Texas. It was an amazing experience. They had EVERYTHING I needed from organic foods, natural vitiamins and fresh produce. THey had a bulk section and also a wonderful wine selection. I saw things I had never seen before especially in the fruit and vegetable section. The atmosphere and staff were exceptional. They made their own mixed juice. When your on the road all the time and cant carry your juicer just go to Central Market, they have about 8 different mixes, apple, lemon, ginger; green drink, etc. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
