I have never before come across a more biased view on history as here. The Alamo warriors are depicted as heroes while in today’s political discourse they would be called terrorists ( (and as a minimum should be called dumb for fighting a lost cause in view of being outnumbered 200-something to two thousand).

The winner always rewrites history I guess.

That is most obvious when considering the case of Comanches and Apaches, once roaming and owning these plains but since subjected to a true genocide committed by and under the first Presidents and Governors of Texas. The latter are depicted as heroes, the former hardly worth a sideway observation.

And all of this told at the intellectual level of a ten year old.

Nothing particularly unique about this museum (as compared to other state history museums) but it was well laid out and had a good special exhibition on prohibition. Focus was on Texas history and it seemed very informative.

It only took an hour or so to get through (we didn't pay to watch any movies and only watched part of most movies in the exhibits. We went on a Saturday and it wasn't very crowded, not many kids.

The exhibits are old and need updating and added context from the Spanish or Mexican point of view. It reminds me of history books that are so biased that they are unbelievable.

This is a very impressive museum to learn about Texas. We were there to learn about Texas history ... and we did! Docents were excellent. Thanks.
