I went to Austin on a business trip and stayed here for the proximity to downtown offices. The room was very nice, and the staff was really attentive. Walked to a nearby restaurant recommended by the front desk, and Tammie Linden helped me in the business center to get things ready for the meeting. Excellent!

Enjoyed our weekend stay (Saturday-Monday) at this nicely remodeled hotel. 1-Bedroom Executive Suite (Club Level) on the 15th floor - corner room with nice view of the state capital. Very nice, comfortable, spacious, quiet room. Bed was very comfortable, and the pull-out sofa bed (used by my 15-year old daughter) was exceptionally comfortable for a pull-out - perhaps the most comfortable pull-out mattress (memory foam top) we have ever experienced at a hotel.

The breakfast included was good, if a bit limited, and the staff very attentive. The bar is great, with welcoming indoor and outdoor spaces on the second floor of the building. There are also plenty of lobby sitting spaces on the first and second floor. Lack of outdoor pool is a bit disappointing, but expected for an urban setting.

Great location...walking distance to all of downtown.

Overall a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

What keeps it from a 5-star for me:
1. Quality of linens and towels not up to 5-start level.
2. Did not enjoy being disturbed by unwanted wake-up call at 6am on Sunday.
3. Valet parking is the only option, and a bit slow and pricy. Although the staff was very professional and friendly.
4. Bathroom door did not latch upon arrival...reported to front desk and it was fixed by the time we returned that evening. But the door has no lock by design which is not practical.
5. A/C in bedroom a bit underpowered to cool entire room...living room was cold but bedroom was not cold. In 100 degree Texas summer heat, the A/C needs to make it cold in the entire room, especially after a day of walking around the city...

Room Tip: Higher rooms will be more quiet and provide better view.

Stayed for three nights at this hotel. The location is great, quiet but close to the bars and restaurants on 6th. What really needs to be called out though is the amazing staff, from the valets right through to housekeeping. A special mention though must go to Jamiliah on the front desk and Chenisse and Trisha, the concierge team. They went over and above to ensure that our stay was a great one and they are all a credit to the IC brand. I really hope that the management team appreciate what great ambassadors for the hotel they are.

We stayed here for 4 nts/5days this passed week. I have stayed at several intercontinental hotels and they never fail to impress! This is no exception. If you are going to be in the area for business or pleasure do yourself a favor and stay here. The hotel is beautiful, rooms are big& the level of service is second to none. The food is great, pool, jacuzzi & spa. Walking distance to convention center and 6th street. We were able to walk to everything!

Had a great stay there. Terrific location, very comfortable room - good size with huge bathroom. Free wifi included and lovely bar with $2 happy hour beers - absolute bargain,
Parking was a bit expensive, but probably about right for a top end city centre hotel.
Would stay again without a shadow of a doubt.

Stayed over Memorial Day weekend. The hotel is very nice, the room a little small but clean and very nice. Great location. We could walk to restaurants and 6th Street. The second floor terrace is a pleasant spot for a drink and the best bowl of popcorn ever! Everyone there was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much.
