Very pretty building but hard to maneuver around to see. Parking is a little bit difficult to find. Worth seeing at least one time

If your in town, this is a great place to park and spend at least half the day. The street is lined with shops and dining and the sidewalk is nearly packed. The shops can offer great finds from antiques, to crafts, to retail stores. The dining tends to be trailers parked off to the side of road. Keep your eyes open, there are troubadours! (One of our favorite memories is seeing a man practically naked who had wrapped himself up in an American flag and wore cowboy boots walking around playing the guitar and singing.)

This is just a street with businesses and nothing much to do except walk around. You can head north to the State capitol or south to SoCo. Those are two more interesting sights in the city of Austin.

It was super busy the beautiful Saturday we were there...and pleasant enough walk, but really nothing much different than any other city's art/cafe/market area. Interesting people watching, certainly...

I had breakfast and coffee at the Royal Blue Grocery near the corner of Congress Ave and 6th St, they can make an esspresso, and there is an outside area that you can sit in and watch traffic go by
