“Excellent sandwiches, charming environment”
Reviewed 11 January 2014

The Fish (tilapia) torta with chimichurri was an excellent sandwich, Fish was crispy, bread was just crusty enough and just enough relish. The Fish tacos were very good, tilapia was flavorful with a standard salsa. The sides were a dill potato salad and cole slaw both were good. A pickled cucumber side is a better choice. This restaurant is in a converted house and its nicely done, the bathroom nice and very clean. The outside eating area must make this restaurant a magnet during most of the year when the weather is nice, great ambiance.

“Very Good Sandwich”
Reviewed 30 September 2013

Stopped in early evening on a rainy Saturday. At first we were the only ones there and I was getting nervous about our choice. The menu looked great and it took us some time to decide. As we did, others started showing up.
Ended up with Apple Pork and Chicken Caesar sandwiches, refrigerator pickles, potato salad, and Salt and Pepper Tater Tots. All were very, very good and had unique flavors. I particularly liked the smoked cheese with the pork on my sandwich and the basil on the tater tots. There was a nice selection of iced teas and homemade lemonade.
Dinner has table service and the waitress was attentive and friendly.
I think we will return some time to try different sandwiches.

“Taste of Austin College Scene”
Reviewed 1 August 2013

My wife and I had a late lunch and were happily surprised with how fresh the food was. I was in the mood for something different so tried the watermelon gazpacho soup --- it was refreshing. Good portions & good service! From the outside I was immediately concerned it would not be air conditioned (yes it has a dilapidated look) but it was.

I would go back again if in this part of Austin.

Had a great lamb sandwich with some cold Coors (the beer I brought, BYOB). Had a great time and I will be returning.
