“Fabulous steak!!!”
Reviewed 28 July 2007

Went to dinner here on a tip from a "foodie" board. I ordered the 12 oz. strip steak and it was one of the best, if not the best, steaks I've ever eaten. Incredibly tender, juicy and perfectly cooked, with a distinctly smokey taste and aroma. I asked for a side of their spicy Hollandaise sauce to dip the steak in, which only added to its excellence. Absolute perfection. They told me that they use beef from Nolan Ryan's ranch which is naturally fed with no hormones.

The cornsticks that come to the table first are shaped like a sahauro cactus, which was cute. They are crunchy and delicious, and come with butter boldly flavored with garlic, cilantro and hot pepper. I also had a side salad (fine, nothing memorable), and poblano mashed potatoes which weren't as spicy as they could have been, but I was getting plenty of heat from the hollandaise.

Don't miss the chocolate tower dessert...2 layers of soft brownie, filled with a mocha mousse and all covered with dark chocolate ganache.

This place is a real winner!
