What a friendly and sweet place to stay! I visited Austin and the first 2 nights was at Strickland Arms. A local friend found their website for me and I immediately loved the photos and description of the property. When we pulled up to the B&B the first impression was impressive - it's a beautiful house and I was immediately excited to stay there. I got in late but the hosts made sure I was able to check in and get comfortable. I stayed in Lady Stephanie's room - spacious and comfortable. There was a shower only, no bath, but I was perfectly fine with that since there is also a pool and so many beautiful spots to sit and read, or relax, both inside and outside the house.
Breakfast was served at a common table - fruit, hot biscuits, eggs if requested, coffee, juice - very nice and I liked the social aspect of sitting with other guests and hearing stories.
I would definitely enjoy staying there again in the future!More
