“Great Cocktails and Cream Pie”
Reviewed 10 March 2013

This is the place for cocktails and pie. We're not kidding. They have a full menu but frankly the food just isn't very good. The cocktail and pies on the other hand... Holy smokes! The pie is where it's at, go for either the chocolate cream or coconut cream and you will NOT be disappointed. The other pie options are hit or miss. The cocktails are excellent as well. Do yourself a favor and save this place for your end of day nightcap, have a slice of cream pie and a craft cocktail. All will be right with the world, promise.

“Avoid with kids at night”
Reviewed 5 March 2013

Food was good but our server was useless. It seems he forgot our order. We waited almost 20 minutes for our table (for an 8pm reservation) and another 45 minutes for food. He failed to apologize, check in with us, or bring even bread or a side to help tide us over. That said, the food was very tasty. Better for a date night or go early if you have little ones.

“Had a good 'First Time' visit”
Reviewed 1 January 2013

We were looking for a place without a long wait one evening since we were close to having to head back out of town. Although we were hesitant since there wasn't a wait, it ended up being a good find for future Austin visits. We had some vegetarian requirements in our party and found something for everyone here. We all loved our food although my veggie burger had a couple crisp spots on the surface. Other than that it was all really great. We shared some pies too and they were great! We will be back.

“Great food, okay service”
Reviewed 5 September 2012

We went on a hot, busy Saturday morning and while everyone was absolutely polite and friendly, they were a little inattentive. One of our party annoyed the staff by waving them down (I was annoyed, too) and I wonder if that might have set the tone. Good food, big portions.

“One of my favorite places”
Reviewed 26 August 2012

Sometimes all you want is good food in a simple setting, this is the place. There is usually no wait for a table, the staff is friendly and helpful and the kitchen is accommodating (I am allergic to peppers). a great place for lunch or dinner, in the year we were in Austin we went here at least 20 times.
