“Great place for lunch on the mt.”

This restaurant has good good with nice service and an interesting menu.
The serve yourself buffet on the 2nd floor is just OK and is almost as expensive. Eat in the restaurant on 3rd floor.

“Great food when you need a break from the slopes”
Reviewed 16 April 2013

Watson's Shelter is located about half-way down the Collins lift on the Wildcat side of the Alta Ski resort. They have a wide variety of items to choose from including sandwiches, salads, soups and grilled items such as grilled cheese and hamburgers. They also have a range of beverages and items that can serve as grab-and-go items if you want to head back out. When I was there, I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with tomatoes and swiss and a bowl of chicken noodle soup and a chocolate cookie. Everything was very good and fresh and gives you a nice break from skiing. The food is not too heavy so you are able to keep going afterwards with no problem. One final recommendation - the hot chocolate is great, especially with whipped cream.

Only thing to note - as it is a resort, the prices are a little high, but worth it to have something fresh and hot on a cold ski day.
