Our family of 3 spent a weekend here. We stayed in the Ira Allen Suite, but all of the rooms/suites are beautiful and spacious. The innkeepers, Kevin and Michael, are warm, welcoming, friendly and eager to help. Kevin's breakfasts were fantastic, and Michael's cookies were addictive. They own scenic property across the street with 2 hammocks and a tree swing. The front porch has a relaxing, cushioned swinging "sofa" and the living room is a great place to relax. All rooms were booked and everyone loved it! We can't wait to go back!!!

Room Tip: All suites are great!

Green Features: I'm not sure, but people in VT are much better about saving the environment than in neighboring states.

The house is beautiful and historic, but with that come some issues with plumbing, electrics, size and privacy (very thin walls). To be fair, the plumbing problems were quickly remedied though and in an old house things will inevitably have their quirks. Room doors didn't lock from the outside, which at first we found a little weird, but it appears to be a Vermont thing, so we got used to it. What made this an especially lovely experience was really Michael and Kevin, the hosts, who were incredible and paid attention to detail to make this a truly lovely place to spend a few days in the area. Breakfast each morning was fresh and homemade with local ingredients and tasty, and different each day. The cinnamon waffles were really light (some of the best I've ever had!) and even accommodated to fit my personal tastes, which was really kind of them to do. We were there for a wedding and since the local area has no taxi service, Michael even kindly offered us a lift to our destination. Kevin and Michael were also really helpful about directions, local tips for places to see and eat, and great with historical knowledge of the area, which really enhanced our visit to Arlington. They were both really friendly and helpful in general which made the place feel like home away from home. Our room (the Ethan Allen suite) was comfortable and clean. The honor fridge/snacks/coffee in the hall was a nice touch too. My parents stayed in the Abigail room which was really nice too, and looked like it might be the biggest suite on the property. Highly recommended.

Rarely do I give 5 stars, but the accommodations and hospitality of our hosts blew me away. The owners have overhauled the whole place. It's immaculately clean, tastefully restored (no doilies or china dolls in sight), with alluring books on the shelves, local art on the walls, and homemade cookies on the sideboard in the spacious shared living room (plus and a wine/beer license). Breakfast was terrific, the hosts will chat or leave you alone if you prefer, and they were full of recommendations for fever soon, from galleries and crafts, to kid stuff and restaurants. We will make this an annual stop on our way through Vermont!

Four of us spent 5 idyllic days relaxing at this charming bed and breakfast, taking in the view from its porch every afternoon, wandering the countryside each day, returning to our comfortable beds at night. The location is central, yet nestled as it is in rural Vermont, facing the Battenkill river, we felt we had stepped into a Grandma Moses painting. Michael and Kevin made us feel very much at home. They were warm, hospitable hosts, serving us delicious breakfasts daily and decadent cookies, a guilty pleasure we enjoyed each afternoon. They were generous with their time, helping us plan our itineraries. We stayed in the Ira Allen and Abigail suites during our visit - both rooms are large, unique in design, and are decorated in comfortable, attractive furnishings. Each suite could easily accommodate a family of four as each has its own connected second bedroom.

Thanks for a wonderful visit! Your inn feels like home - inviting and comfortable with the kind of ease that tempted me to cancel my plans and stay a few more days! You (Kevin and Michael) are charming, helpful hosts! Breakfast and cookies were downright heavenly, too! Thank you! This inn is a great choice for Vermont travelers!

Room Tip: I stayed in "Ethan's Room". Lovely, comfortable, faces the woods in two directions.

We spent 4 nights at this wonderful B&B and truly loved everything about it. The old house has a very cozy atmosphere and both Kevin and Michael are very charming hosts.
The delicious breakfasts including the maple flavored yogurth were a great start for the day.
After our hikes, we looked forward to coming home for our afternoon treat (Michaels freshly baked cookies) and the smell of them in the whole house. For the evenings they not only offer good restaurant recommendations but also have some wine/ beer stocked to enjoy after dinner.
Special thanks to Michael for making our canoe trip on the Battenkill River possible.

Room Tip: We stayed in Abigails suite which was very spacious and nice.
