Based upon the recommendation of locals, we visited Chauncey's for breakfast and weren't disappointed. It's a good sized placed, but the staff was sufficient and most helpful.
The typical Vermont breakfast fare was available, but so were several specials. I ordered pancakes and they were fluffy and tasty. Best of all, they were served with real maple syrup, at no additional charge. The coffeee is excellent.
Our waitress was happy to answer our questions and arrange for a substitute side dish.
We viewed the dinner menu (weekends only), and saw several treats.
The restaurant is located approx. 15 minutes south of Manchester Vt. on Rt. 7A in Arlington, and is worth stopping for.

My husband & I stopped in for lunch because the parking lot was full it was a good sign. It's a really quaint little restaurant. I ordered the western sandwich and my husband took the special a turkey Reuben. Both were served with homemade chips - both were great. Our server was delightful and gave suggestions. Our order was delivered fast & hot. The sandwiches were large and reasonably priced. It's only open until 2:15 PM.

I love visiting "mom and pop" restaurants and this was one of them. Quiet atmosphere and friendly warm service. Food was average which is fine when your hungry and nothing bad about it! Would return again.

We heard from other visitors about this place. I looked to Trip Advisor reviewers for their opinion and found, as always, that the majority loved this place. We went and were not disappointed. Besides the terrific breakfast, the history and ambience of the restaurant was intriguing.

We would recommend this to everyone.

Some reviews complained about the crowds and the wait. We were lucky enough to visit this place that has a large calling and wait, on a day that was after a holiday and not busy! Good for us. Too bad for those that didn't have this great dining experience! Come back in the off time? Or just stop complaining?
