“Work week was great!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 May 2014

My sister and I returned to the West Mountain Inn from 5/13 to 5/15 to participate in our first "work week" at the inn. In exchange for a room and breakfast, we worked four hours each morning to help the inn prepare for its spring/summer season. We cleaned wedding chairs and raked leaves from a garden under beautiful blue skies and 70 degree temperatures. We enjoyed the company of other "workers" as well as all the amenities of the inn: a wonderful dinner in the on-site restaurant, a delightful hike on one of the trails behind the inn, chocolate chip cookies and lemonade when we finished our work "shift," and the beautiful scenery which surrounded us. We hope to be invited back again! PS. The driveway was greatly improved since our last visit!

Room Tip: We enjoyed the quiet Gwendolyn Room on the first floor with its gas fireplace, newly added televisio...

West Mountain Inn was wedding location for my daughter's wedding - I had only seen pictures.
Everything about the weekend was magnificent - the Inn and the rooms are beautiful, the food gourmet delicious, the mountain setting beautiful, the antique Barn festive for reception and the staff fabulous! Terry, the wedding coordinator, was the best! Amy, the owner, is a 5 star manager and lady! As, this review says - we came, we loved and now back home in Indiana savoring beautiful memories!

We visited the West Mountain Inn recently and once again enjoyed every minute of our time there.
My husband and I arrived in the afternoon, settled in, relaxed, and even fit in a short walk on their beautiful property before dusk.
In the late afternoon, we were able to have a glass of wine and complimentary cheese, crackers and fruit before the meal hour began.

The dinner was delicious, with something for everyone's individual taste preferences. After the meal we went to our spacious room with comfy chairs, although there's plenty of comfortable seating downstairs in the living room and library. There's also A TV for those inclined, some board games and often interesting people if you care to converse with others.
Next morning the complimentary breakfast was again a meal with some foods for all tastes...I recommend trying a little of everything it's all so good!

Everyone working there seems sensitive to making the guests feel relaxed and they do their jobs well. The rooms are clean, the beds comfy, the place is quiet...all conducive to a good nights sleep. I urge you to try this charming place!

Room Tip: Do you like a mountain view, want a porch, 2 beds, etc...just speak up and they will try to accommod...

Both the rooms and the setting of this inn are beautiful. I had an opportunity to look at many of the rooms (arrived early during a quiet time) and they are all spacious and gorgeous. I spent quite a bit of time reading in one of the Adirondack chairs on the front lawn and gazing at the incredible mountain view. Completely relaxing! They also provide a map of their extensive walking trails. Breakfast was wonderful, served in their lovely restaurant. Though the owners were away, staff members Terry and Marybeth were very friendly, helpful, and eager to make my stay comfortable. They even proactively gave me a discount which had been posted on the website after I made my reservation.

What a delightful time we had! Our room was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed - and spotless! The bed was great, the chairs were enveloping and there was plenty of light. Breakfast each morning was exceptional, especially the homemade breads and delicious egg dishes. The location was wonderful with magnificent mountain views, the staff was friendly and competent, and even the late-season snow couldn't dampen our enthusiasm. Can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: The Dorothy Canfield Fisher room on the third floor was spacious and quiet.

My wife and I needed to get out of the city with our infant daughter. We found West Mountain Inn online and loved it.

Great unique rooms to suit many arrangements.

The staff was really friendly and accommodating, making us feel like home.

The dinner we had there was the best we had all weekend.

And best of all, family friendly! They even had a pack and play.

Very close to Manchester with its outlet shops and close to some great hiking.

Would recommend going to anyone.

I stayed in The Mill House which was most comfortable with fabulous sheets and a very comfortable bed.
The setting is just beautiful and I'm sure that in the fall, breathtaking.
The staff was just wonderful---friendly yet efficient and very, very courteous.
Thank you all for your most kind hospitality!
