Attraction details
Owner description: We are a small Virginia Farm Winery located in Abingdon on the far southwest side of Virginia near the Tri-Cities of Bristol, Johnson City and Kingsport, TN. We acquired 53 acres of land in this beautiful area and thought we would do something to keep us healthy, active and creating something. We began planning our 10 acre vineyard in 1997; planted our first 500 plants in 1998 and completed our 6000 plants by 2001. Our main grape varieties are: Cabernet Franc, Riesling, Chardonel, Traminette, Pinot Noir, Norton, Chambourcin, Viognier. Our first fermentation began with our year 2000 harvest. We have a pleasant, rustic atmosphere. We opened our tasting room June 1, 2001, and are now open from March 15 to December 15, Tues-Sat,10am-6pm AND Sundays 12-6pm. We are closed every Monday and Thanksgiving during that time span. Come try our wines and enjoy the quiet serenity of the area and friendly, comfortable hospitality.

So im 18 and my parents were tasting wine so me and my friend asked for the wifi password and the owner said "I wont give it to you" with a very bad attitude. But my parents say the wine was good.

“Peaceful Place - Wonderful Wine!”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

Neat place - scenic, right in the mountains, next to a stream and running river. Wonderful shop! Great wine tasting....bought a 6 different types from white to red! Bring a picnic and enjoy the scenery and tranquil atmosphere. Wonderful place to sit outside and hear the running water, sip on a bottle of wine and snack on something you bring or buy inside. We'll be back in the fall!

“Great atmosphere and good wine.”
Reviewed 2 September 2013

The owners are very personable and the wine across the board was surprisingly good. The Cabernet Franc was my favorite oak barrel aged for 23 months has a very nice balance of flavors and finish. All of the selections were under $20.00 and each an excellent value. Very scenic and comfortable, a fantastic way to spend a few hours on a weekend.

“Wine a Bit, You'll Feel Better”
Reviewed 12 July 2013

Free wine tasting during the week. $5/6 tastings on the weekends. Can't shake a stick at that! Beautiful patio on a creek to relax and drink wine. They have oak barrel cured wines as well as stainless. Dry, semi, and sweet dessert wines. Interesting wine gift shop items for the wine drinker in your family. Most bottles were around $15 Beautiful drive along a cury mountain road. It was a wonderful afternoon.
