My husband and I were originally looking for a B&B in Charlottesville when we stumbled across Veritas Farmhouse, and from the moment we arrived we knew we had made the right choice. The house itself is spacious and beautifully furnished, surrounded by picturesque vineyards and our room (Surrey) was just gorgeous. A standout was the personal service at the B&B - Patricia was so helpful with restaurant recommendations, ideas for nearby places to visit and even went out of her way to drive us to the start of a hiking trail so that we could finish the one-way hike at our car.
There was plenty to do in the surrounding area and it was a short trip (25 minutes) to go into Charlottesville for dinner one night and explore Monticello and the University of Virginia.
Special mention must go to the chef Joel who created absolute masterpieces for breakfast each day - we wished that we were there on one of the Farmhouse Dinner days as we would have loved to taste his dinner creations as well.
We could not have hoped for a better B&B experience and would recommend The Farmhouse at Veritas to anyone we know travelling to this region.
